ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Agree, I don't even know where the f**k Rydalmere is but I damn sure want to know how it went.

The off season is long and we are starving , feed us ccm!!!

Stones throw from Parramatta.

Rydalmere FC are in the NSW NPL3, you'd expect a min of 2 goals.

Would be nice to know who started & who got some time from the bench, as rumoured that Hutcho would play 2 different XI each half ???

Yeah like to know that also. Especially given 0-0 at half time.

Sounds like the younger players stepped up. Obviously fab was out. Trent really seems to be sticking his hand up in pre season. Positive sounds re Fletcher. We may prove a stronger squad than most pundits suspect. God I'd love to put in a classic, CCM underdogs really surprise...kind of year.

Only saw some of the second half.
Izzo, Peterson, Papadimitrios, O'Dell, Neil, Mcging, Berry, Bingham, Fletcher, Trent, Pain. No subs were made.
Apparently several Npl1 players filling in for the other side not sure from what team. They made quite a few subs in this half.

This preseason is no better than last years.
As SHIPWRECK said "we`re starving" for information about our team.
These crap behind closed doors type preseason games do nothing to engage the community.
I`m damn sure everyone is keen to fire up again, to support the lads, but there`s bugger all info coming out of the club.
We have a shit draw to start the season & no decent preseason games at home.
How the hell is the club going to attract more new members?

Was a 'closed doors' game mate.. At least as closed doors as you get at the COE. Pretty much a training game, hence the lack of promotion.

We only ever have the odd 'home' game in preseason. This preseason is no different. I guess maybe it feels like there is a lack of games because the offseason is so f**king long...

Surely a few "home game" trials or even training runs would be beneficial to the fans.
It would allow us to see who is trialling, identify the new players, engage with the existing players, bring the kids along (in their season) to get them interested in the team, bring the fans back together & it would let us forum farts have more to write about.
Then the off season wouldn`t be as long & the community would have more interest when we eventually get a home game during the season (if we still get them).

Agree. With such a long off season, personally I think it would be amazing and almost certainly beneficial to develop more opportunities and coverage for fans to stay connected and get excited over as memberships are looking to be sold. The odd puff piece when we announce a new signing or a brief game report does little to excite. But suspect as ever... it's who will do it and with what money.

We have traditionally had very few local pre season games. Usually 1 or 2 but that's about all.

Be interesting to know why (something tells me money)

I don't get the negativity, particularly this year where we've had more local games than usual and we're still some 8 weeks out from the start of the season - so far we've had a double header at Pluim (Academy and Coast selection) as well as 2 separate games at the COE (Scum and Rydalmere) where anyone could rock up and watch and that's ignoring the local game against the Young Socceroos at the Stadium.

I'm not negative. Just love to see and hear more from the club in pre season if it can be managed - we drop pretty hard off the radar for a long period each year and we could surely do better if we had the means and inclination.

So when is our next pre season game??

Hate to break it to you CCM PR team but most fans don't really give a shit about how Monty and the lads visited a local business or another kids clinic, we care about results and the likelihood of us not being so shit this year.

We are a community football club sure, but the bottom line is about the football.
