ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

You can't look at a keeper in isolation. Who did Swartz have standing in front of him? Compare it to Maty… significant difference in experience and dare I say skill? Also, it takes time for a defence to gel. Current Socceroo side needs more time together. I doubt that that's going to happen thought once Tesco, Curtis Good etc recover from injury.

Ryan was poor but no one would have looked good in front of that back 4. See the second goal against Spain if you don't get it.
The German would have been better but Maty has great potential and it was the correct decision to blood him.

he did allright against croatia;) though not as good as schwartzie would've been:)

He didn't do alright at Croatia. His time at Milan as a backup was with decent fill ins for Dida and punctuated by colossal stuff ups, just like the Croatia game.

Ex-Central Coast Mariners title-winning striker Daniel McBreen is continuing to make headlines at Shanghai SIPG, breaking his own record as the oldest player to score in the Chinese Super League.

McBreen scored his side's only goal in their 1-1 draw with Tianjin Teda over the weekend as Shanghai moved up to fourth on the CSL ladder.

At 37 and 89 days old, McBreen is the oldest player to score in the CSL and he trumpeted his achievement on Twitter.

Sweet hit from Mcbreen. killing it over there.
Seems to have adapted well to the culture shock and football environment. Perhaps it wouldnt hurt any future aussies looking to head that way to give Macca a call for some advice.

So happy for him. He's like a good red wine - just gets better with age.

Could mean one of two things - either he's getting more of a look at the first team or they're polishing him up for sale.
