ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The reality is that it's only a trial... both teams are f**ked from intensive conditioning work, BUT... at least we hit the back of the net!!! :overheadl::overheadl::overheadl: COYY!!!!

Well yeah, I mean - it's only preseason and already Dan Heffernan has scored as many as our topscorer last year hasn't he? ;)

Dan Heffernan... our new Matt Sim

Bit insulting.

As someone who has played in both UK and OZ.

Someone half decent there has the potential to be twice as good as a John Aloisi, without even trying. Until u play Football in the UK its hard to understand the level they can play at even at a non league level.

I blame Mossy 100% for our horrible goal scoring record last year but this bloke, with a hatrick against an HAL team, well he just be the missing ingredient.

He is also 6.2 so maybe we could play 442, occasionally, and really paddle some teams with Fab and the New boy steaming down the wings.

Yeah, I was just joking wombat, hence the ""... I hope he's the real deal... but I hope too many people don't get too carried away with a pre-season trial hat-trick against a weak WSW side. Arguably, the FFA game that Sim scored his 4 goals had a sharper edge than tonight's game.

LOL.

I thought you were having a larf and u kept it going comparing a Sharks team (Rees aside who played well) to a HAL side, albeit the Drive Bys.

Not so much comparing the sides, more contrasting the meaning of the matches. Just putting it out there that a quarter final FFA Cup game may be more cut throat compared to a pre season trial. Anyway... I don't care one way or the other.

That was a very experimental lineup with no Josh, Bosnar, Montgomery, Kalik, Caceres, Fitzgerald, Ferriera at all. Tricky was in the starting line-up but only lasted 2 minutes and Storm was a second half replacement. I hope the guys that play next. Hopefully a lot of the other guys got time against Newcastle before the Cup game next week

Sounds like a good hit out! Good to hear a trialist going well probably worth a shot just from that performance alone! Bodes well for the FFA Cup game and will be interesting to see how the lineup differs from that of last night.
