ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Boy, I thought it would be fine, and it may still be if things back off,
but right now BT is a lake...

Rumour going is that there is a chance the game will be switched to Monday night.. I don't know where it came from, or if it is valid. Every rumour has a scrap of truth though...

Had a go idea!
Singo has a Helicopter, right ?
Get him to fly it over the pitch
and dry it out.

I read in the terrorgraph (I think) this morning that the ground has been booked for Monday if it's off tomorrow. Drove past the stadium around 1 today it is was virtually underwater.

Was on the 1pm Fox Sprts News bulletin that if necessary, the ground has been booked by FFA for monday night, but will be a definite last resort with all resources being used to play tomorrow.

When I saw the thread title I was shocked, would have been better for my heart if there was a '?' at the end.

Currently around 60% submerged. We'll post again if and when conditions change.

Is it true that the reason why the drainage is so bad is due to damage caused by tons of dirt being dumped on the field for the motoX event a while back?

I thought the drainage a SunCorp was excellent. Did you see the amount of water on the pitch about half an hour before they kicked off? When they did, there wasn't any noticible "sticky" spots like we have at BT.

that is true...... they need to dig all that clay shit up and replace it with sandy soil for next season.

The major problem i have been told, is that they have high quality pumps now, but still no one qualified to use them effectively.

I hope they don't use those "brooms" they cut the hell out of the pitch! And don't be fooled, there's often a lot of water hiding underneath the BT pitch, which makes for slow tough football, making me nervous of 2-0 being a bit impossible, this could bring back memories of the last NSL grand final people.

They're not using anything currently and haven't seen the brooms out - yeah they're terrible they may move the water but they also pull off the top soil which really damages the field.

Water level now only covering 10% of pitch... and skies broken up well  :vhappy: :vhappy: :vhappy:

Read in the Sunday paper about the monday night option with the Jets coach being keen to have a monday game if the pitch was unsuitable.

Yeah, I f*ing bet he'll be pushing for a monday game with less mariners fans to cheer the boys on. I can imagine he'll be trying for that if the pitch is anything but dry as a bone. With one cancelled game already this season it would only hurt our sponsors to have this happen while giving the Jets an advantage.

Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day.

And f**k off dutchy
