ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not everything and everyone from the NSL was bad and/or a joke.

I'll probably be shouted out of town, but I reckon the standard of the NSL from around mid 80's to 97-98 was better than the HAL now.

We all know there were no crowds, no media, limited tv coverage, badly overblown and media exagerated crowd incidents etc I'm not for a minute pretending that all was good because it was overall a failure and had to be scrapped.

We know there are ten million reasons for the failure of the NSL and they are very well documented, but I for one won't be ashamed of following the NSL and nobody should dismiss it completely as a joke, because it wasn't.

The FFA are trying to honour our Footballing history and the NSL is part of this. Most of our current Socceroos were products of these clubs and the clubs are responsible and should be proud to have played a significant part of their development.

Of course it's a million times better now and there are times I have to pinch myself and can't believe the progress we've made. The NSL had to go and I'm glad it did. But there were good things about it amongst all the bad.

This man speaks to truth.

All the reshuffles at SFC does make it look a little like Sydney City Mk.2, but it's not like Tony Labozetta running the show or anything.

No the rump board was Dominic Galati, Paul Afkos and Les Avory. They were the ones who refused to resign after Remo had already left as Chairman. If my memory serves me correctly.
