Really? I thought his thinking was pretty slow as with his running. Both Hunt and McGeady (sp?) ran rings around him.

I thought williams was solid going forward, and having the hardest defensive job, did pretty well.

I agree re Macca. Great game for him. I think he has got over trying to score his first goal (it will come) and just got on to the task at hand. Looked like he really enjoyed it, without any perceived pressure.

Hunt and McGeady did not run rings around him. McGeady had to go infield to make an impression and ended up running out of steam without any significant impact made. As for Hunt, he went well but ended up being moved to the socceroos right. Williams is the future of our left side, no doubt about it. Williams and Spiro will be the mainstays of our defence after 2010.

The whole team played very well and I think Mile had his best game for the National Team so far. He was very involved and you could see the ovation he got from the senior guys - Neill, Cahill, Bresc - when he went off.

I've been a good boy for the last 2 weeks and topped up the brownie points (painted the house and let her pick the colours  )

Anyway she's getting out to play aswell.

And btw that was a great result against Ireland.The Irish are no mugs especially at home.

Too true mate, they had a couple of nearly, almost there, damn we hit the post kinda goals and were very unlucky not to net a couple during the game.

The Aussies played great football though.
