ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Team selected by the public taken exactly from the web site:

        Dalglish  Law
Cooper Souness Bremner Johnstone
  McGrain McLeish Miller Jardine
            Goram
Stein
Jim Baxter can't get in ?

Just as well the public don't pick the team  :p

Agree. Jim Baxter was one of the best players I ever saw. I'm sure I could have even squeezed him into my XI, probably at the expense of Dominic Matteo (and to hell with the defence) ...

Slim Jim Baxter was better than all of them put together :)
I'd would have had McGrain at RB and Tommy Gemmell at LB

Souness and Bremner in centre mids together. Yikes, 2 pairs of shin pads for the other side would be a good idea.

Stick Dave MacKay in there and you would end up with 8 by half time.

Souness was the dirtiest player I ever saw. Absolute animal

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
ummm...dunno what year ( early 80's I think)..Jock Stein was the manager, Sir Alex was the assistant...thus is my knowledge of Scottish International line-ups

I'd be tempted to back them (in their prime) against most sides TBH.

You'd happily pay to go watch the wing play and the sheer brutality combined

Their downfall would be beer (and I wouldn't leave any rowing boats lying around).....
