Must win. No Ferriera by the looks. Otherwise usual squad available.

Would like to see someone new in the no. 10 role but as discussed unlikely if Cac is in the shop window, and who knows he may prove the hero this game yet.

Back four I think have established themselves, with TW's comments about running 2 DM's I expect to see:
Izzo
Roux - Posc - McGing - Rose
Monty - Ascroft
Fitz - Cac - Austin
Roy'O

Whilst I would like to adjust the front 4 some when Fabio returns this structure could be effective. Monty was doing his job with aplomb so with some support at DM he can get forward a bit more, put the pressure on and even create a few things. Could provide some solidity/opportunities in one move. Here's hoping.

I'm not liking media talk like this - mainly because it's true:
"This weekend is extremely important for the Glory. They are playing at home, the health of their squad is improving and their opposition, Central Coast Mariners, are looking increasingly vulnerable." http://outside90.com/a-long-way-back-for-perth-glory-231/

This said I think we'll win. 2-1.

A-League: Captain Nick Montgomery itching to return as ninth-placed Mariners tackle Perth
December 10, 2015 8:51am
Emma HerdCentral Coast Gosford Express Advocate

WITH one third of the A-League season behind them, Central Coast Mariners captain Nick Montgomery said it was time for his side to draw a line in the sand.

Sitting in ninth position with just one win to their names, the Mariners take on the last-placed Perth Glory on Saturday night.

They made the trip west yesterday to give themselves the best preparation possible.

“The mood’s good but confidence is lower than it should be,” Montgomery said.

“We need to work harder and find that winning formula.”

Montgomery was forced to watch the Mariners’ 5-1 loss to Melbourne City from the stands last week due to suspension and is itching to get back out there alongside his teammates.

v1

He said they couldn’t dwell on last week’s heavy defeat.

“A week’s a long time in football, so if we can get a win this weekend and get on a run, we can easily climb the table,” he said.

Knowing the quality of players in the squad, Montgomery said the run of defeats was proving frustrating but they knew what they needed to do to turn it around.

“We’ve got to stop being naive at the back and start putting away our chances,” he said.

The Mariners are back at home on December 20 against Brisbane.

Meanwhile, defender Storm Roux is expected to play against Perth despite suffering a light concussion late in last week’s 5-1 loss to City at Gosford.

The Kiwi international has been in solid form for the Mariners and his availability is a boost.

But star attacking weapon Fabio Ferreira is still battling a hamstring injury and he will not play against Perth. The club is hopeful he will be in full training and be available for selection when the team returns home to take on Brisbane next week.

On the upside Perth seem to be falling apart: https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/30329465/glory-blow-as-sidnei-sidelined/
"Perth Glory striker Sidnei Sciola has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash against Central Coast Mariners with a leg injury after collapsing to the ground at training this morning.

The 29-year-old grabbed at his right quad as he fell to the turf during routine match practice at UWA Sports Park and limped off the field.

Glory have confirmed Sciola will miss at least one week with the injury.

The injury comes at the worst possible time for the bottom side, which are hosting three matches in the space of seven days and are already short on goal scoring options.

Sciola was the club’s equal leading scorer, alongside midfielder Gyorgy Sandor, with two goals this A-League season.
Perth have found the net just once in their past six matches – a goal from Sciola in last month’s 5-1 thrashing from Melbourne City – and will firm as wooden spoon favourites if they lose to the Mariners for the second time this season.

Former captain Michael Thwaite berated Sciola while he lay on the ground in an incident that prompted an immediate end to training.

The West Australian understands Sciola had mentioned a concern with his right leg in the minutes leading up to the mishap.

Socceroos debutant Josh Risdon trained away from the main group and is no certainty to return to his regular position at right back against Central Coast.:

Glory to make a "major announcement" tomorrow. CEO and Lowe to front up.

No obvious rumours but player announcement?

Moss as technical director?

Looking at the squad announced and the FB photo I'm expecting a shake up. This is the coaches waterloo so to speak. I think he is getting close to blinking as the pressure mounts, we will see if major changes to structure and player positioning occurs, if so, and we get beaten, then the pressure from supporters, players, staff and Charlesworth will become suffocating for Walmsley and Hutch.

Stick with it coach. Don't waste your time playing that style against the good teams then don't follow through against the weaker ones.

Remember we own Perth. They are scared after already being our victims.

Got Monty back so should be no dramas. Only prob is leaving the Fab at home but that's how confident we are
