I heard they are playing a game at the SCG because of the "Heritage Round". IT'S A CRICKET GROUND. THERE IS A GROUND MADE FOR THUGBY NEXT DOOR. Apparently that's because Souths used to play at the SCG or some crap? How do they explain Bluetongue though?

I had a thought the other day that it would be kinda funny if, during the HAL off season, the Marinators took up their position in Bay 16 at an NRL match @ Bluetongue and sung and carried on as per usual, and what sort of "WTF?" looks it would get from the NRL fans.
"Brad Fittler's Tri Coloured Army" doesn't have the same ring to it though.

Do it

Not quite - I was referring to the NRL's laughable decision not to forgo sponsors for the Heritage Round.

ABC Radio has reported that Muir was subdued with capsicum spray and arrested.

He has been charged with two counts of assaulting police, one count of resisting arrest and one count of intimidating police.

Muir played in the Knights :vhappy:' 1997 premiership winning side, and also represented NSW in the State of Origin and played for Australia in a number of Tests.

Note that according to 2UE this AM they have managed to sell only 8,000 tickets (so far) for the "Historic" Centenary test this Friday.

Ghana pre sales are probably more than that already..........

Hahahaha thats classic. All sportsman should be restricted to only being able to assault people via the skills of their chosen sport!!! It's genius Muir! Genius I say!!!!

last night on the Paul Vautin Thugby League show, they showed a clip of the aussie "test" team at the SCG, there was no one in the seats, I thought they started the game early and it was a live shot of the test match ...hahahahahahahaha

Okay, there's been two fights in the _crowd_ inside of 5 minutes just now at the Centenerary "Test", one of the looked fair big.  Just wondering how much of a mention that will rate in tomorrow's Telegraph??

34 571 crowd apparently....... free tickets by the boatload??

That was a special promotion whilst the Footy Show was on Thursday night. The usual - 1st 5 callers to Ticketek to BUY a test ticket got 2 free tickets to the 1st State of Origin.

Did they actually show fighting in the stands?

No, but you know how in the background you hear the crowd go wild (with bogan fever in this case) and you see everyone stand up and the cops run over and jump into the stands??  It was that sorta deal.  Twice in 5 minutes.  And Ray Warren mentioned something along the lines of "the crowd are getting riled up about an incident at the Kangaroos end".

Alas, there was no mention in any media outlet today about it, so again this will end up being another non event.
