hows the players and Jess Van Stratten, having a good joke and a laugh with opposition players at the end
Looks to me they dont really care. Just lost the 11th game in a row
That's absolutely piss poor.
But that reflects perfectly how this club has completely accepted a culture of failure. I really had expected the leadership to find a way to get everybody's heads back in the game so we'd come out firing with confidence, trying to win these matches. Winning every game in this part of the season at least gives us an outside chance of not getting the spoon - but if nothing else, it shows that there's some capability when we're not suffering the mindset of losing week after week.
There's enough of a break that I really would have thought they'd have been able to approach this with the fire of a new season, given how desperate out situation is.
And any loss should hurt.
For the players to be joking around like they don't care.....just sends the message that losing is expected and it's fine.
And honestly, for a member of the coaching staff to be doing that is just not showing leadership. Lead by example - and this sets the example of 'so what? We're the Mariners, we're losers, but as long as we had fun'.
Anybody not hurting from that loss doesn't belong on the pitch.
there needs to be a serious wtf from the club to the ffa over why stens got a yellow .
as our best ball winner getting a 13 minute yellow .that needs to be justified.as on that standard 8 to 10 reds should of been given
You're on the wrong path there mate - it's a pretty straightforward yellow. Actually reach out to grab somebody then give them a push from behind, you'd typically expect a card there.
Stens is the one who needs to justify his actions there for earning a completely unnecessary card - we had them well outnumbered, even he was directly covered, middle of the field. No need for him to earn a card and it's the sort of discipline we need to tighten up on.
