Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Don’t really remember Jovanovic but that’s probably more on the bulls being so dull. No need for Juric with Cummings, Urena and Moresche coming back mid season. Better to spend the money elsewhere. Golec would be great if we got pre-injury Lord Golec but I don’t think anyone has seen him in years. Windust just as good as a backup CB.
He’s not quick by any means but good experience, calm head. Could easily be the experienced CB we’re crying out for.

I only suggest Juric as he’s a good target man (perfect replacement for Simmo in that regard) and that 4th type of striking option. Could be abit cheaper given he didn’t have a great season and his options could be slim. We’re good at giving decent players a resurrection.

We have experienced strikers. I would rather give more time to Kuol and Jok than Juric.

You’re probably right, I think Hall and someone experienced this year.
If Hall has another good year he will be off overseas and then next year it could be Windust + the same experienced player
The same experienced player could also be of great benefit to Jacob Farrell as well as well as the youngsters in front of him in the midfield. Lets hope they recruit a player whose experience he is willing to pass on to them.

I think all the players released by Macarthur are better players then their last season showed.

Curriculum football only works, and only showcases the skills, of an incredibly specific type of player. We saw that much under Okon's and Milicic's slavish adherence was no different.

I think Juric and Giannou are talented strikers, starting number 9 Socceroos at their best. But both seem to have attitude issues that can derail squads. Unless that was somehow different I don't think either would be a good fit for us.

Mutch was underwhelming and with borders now open we can do better.

Golec barely played with Macarthur and I think there are better, younger players with more potential upside available to us.

Jovanovic would be a decent signing. He lacks pace but with Hall or Windust beside him that could be counteracted.

If Monty could manage a Giannou/Juric/Jovanovic properly they could be an asset to us.

I think Giannou would be a good replacement for Simon if he doesn't play again however I'd rather see Jok play that role

DOB 13/11/2001 - so turns 21 this year
Storm is a good experienced and hopefully cheap signing. Showed he was willing to pay the role required even when Miller was nominally ahead of him. A good backup especially if we have someone pushing him via the Academy.

Sozer is a good size and looked a competent A-League goalkeeper in the little we have seen of him. Desperately unlucky to suffer the injury he had hopefully he is back to his best.

If Birrighitti garners more overseas interest it could be an issue if all we have is Sozer and an youth keeper.

We also seem to have been cycling through quite a few youth keepers recently. Caruso seems to be the only constant at the moment. Is Caruso the number one youth keeper at the moment?
What about Beach?
