ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

Yeah, we need exact numbers on what we will be spending on our playing list and on our footballing department as a whole, including breakdowns.

I wouldn’t be able to stomach the condescending shit that would be thrown at us
"We understand the fans have concerns about whether we're going to be putting a competitive team together so we're pleased to announce tonight that we've signed Majok"

Will legit be this. Oh and Stajcic will have the resources he needs, as long as the only resources he needs are an oily rag.

Perhaps the OSC could reach out to the various forums fans congregate on and out together themes of questions for the night. Rather than the blow up fest it was last year.
I can say that the OSC is reaching out to its Members asking for questions to be asked on the night for those that can’t be there or are not comfortable about voicing their concerns themselves. If anyone on this forum has questions that they would like to be asked, feel free to add them to this thread, so that they can be collated along with any OSC Member responses.

As far as we know, the Club hasn’t advised a specific format for the evening, so the assumption is that it will be an open floor, which could be interesting or a bit of a shamozzle like last time. Surely it is time for all fans to hold the Club accountable for a situation which seems to have no obvious end in sight? At previous events, the Club has been given too much of a free pass imo, which does nothing to impress how disillusioned is fans really are.

The OSC Committee will be meeting with Anton Tagliofero before the forum to sound him out on his involvement, which should be interesting but the noise coming out of the Club still suggests that underinvestment is the basic strategy and we all know where that leads don’t we?

Last year was crap because all the questions that were read were on the same subject. There are only so many ways MC can say no. It was basically a whinge fest until MM came out. Then all was forgiven and the mood changed.

If we can try to ask more wide ranging questions we might get some more answers.

Yep thinking the same, it was basically the same question over and over... everyone in the room got the shits because it had been answered and we couldn't move off it.

I guess it was like a condensed version of social media...

Social Media: Asks question?
CCM: Answers
Social Media: Asks same question?
CCM: Same answer
Social Media: But... asks same question?
Everyone:

Didn’t go to the last one. I would have thought the best option would have been for the club to ask for some questions to be submitted early then run the night like this:

- Club thanks everyone for attending, details their plans, changes, vision and possibly the roadmap for the future at a high level.
- Reads and answers the most common or obvious questions submitted beforehand.
- Reveal any surprises/signings up their sleeve
- Open floor for further questions but not dwell on those already answered

That way it has structure, the club can pick a variety of questions to address and the open floor ensures they don’t cherry pick and dodge the tough questions.

This is pretty much how it goes, the only issue was the questions dragging a bit on the same topic.
