ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

Shaun's posted an interesting question over on the Members Facebook page:
Hey Members, I have a hypothetical question for you. If we draw a home game for the FFA cup and Central Coast Stadium is unavailable due to reasons totally unavoidable by the club. Where should we play?

Please note that the lights at Pluim park are not of a high enough Lux capacity to host a round of 32 A-League match by FFA regulations

This feels like a trick.....a clever way of asking, which oval would you go to if we needed to move a home game

I know im coming off a little paranoid, ive just been hurt too many times before :p

Strange that CCS wouldn't be available, nothing else happens there. I recall a couple of years ago against the Nux we had a half decent crowd for the FFA cup match when they only opened up half the stadium. Think it was a record for a while.

Upgrade the lights at pluim you mug.

Shaun already addressed Pluim:
The regulations for FFA broadcast are way over the top. CCF has done a great job and the right thing at Pluim, it would be a massive waste of $$ if they upgraded the lights that much when there isn't a locked in annual broadcast match.

Also he mentioned why there was a second Canberra game:
This is why we went to Canberra last season for the 2nd match instead of Dubbo, FFA knocked back Dubbo because their lights werent strong enough - even though the venue has hosted channel 9 city country and the game was going to be played in the day time (but I have obviously gotten over this decision by now).

Just tell FFA to piss off, if we can't find an appropriate ground on the coast, just give up the game to the other A League team and we will have a home game next time

Also the games are played over different weeks, so just get FFA to make our game on the alternative week.

The only 2 reasons I can think of that we can't play at CCS is if they are re-turfing or the cost
