Marinators songs

Hey, about the marinators songs, every song is copied, or same basic tune as other songs used in the EPL, Seria A, Bundes L, and the spanish primeria*. The marinators don't have any individuality with songs. "WE ARE THE MARINERS, THE MIGHTY MIGHTY MARINERS", and similar songs that the marinators sing are good chants, but the marinators need to find some individuality that no-one does or not many other clubs do (sing).

No insults there Ashie and it has been talked about many times before. I don't think anyone disagrees that it would be great to have a club song, its' just finding one that we can make 'ours' and one that everyone wants to go with. If you try and force it too much, you end up with a song like the one that won the radio station contest for a 'club song'. Now, what was that again?...... (apart from crap! : )

Personally, I would like to see a club song AND a Marinators song but so many opinions vary

we had this 'working' a few times last year, by which i mean to say it looked ok but had plenty of room for improvement.

just had a thought - the key is to have everyone know what you're doing, so there might have to be a coupla practice-ey runs, and just get to have everyone get the hang of it, but...

bring it all on from the drummers. this one's all about jumping and rhythm - the rhythm has to be steady.

get the drummers doing a steady 1-2 1-2 1-2....

Lyrics are fantastic, tune is simple enough and would sound quite good sung by a drunken crowd.

Floss, we need to get together as a group (pre match vs melbourne in kendall....EARLY?) and record us doing as many of our songs that we can think of onto mp3 and we can then publish them here so others know what we're singing in future. We could even do a special 'mix' cd that could be played in the kendall pre games or on buses or trains on way to games?

We could also give them out free for people to play in their car, to become familiar with the chants?

the delje sever from crvena zvezda (otherwise known as red star belgrade) do that - they take recordings of their songs and make cds. i've got a serb mate who was in delje for years and he still has cds and stuff of their songs.

Easiest way is probably to take the sound from a video camera. I have access to an MP3-dictaphoney-type thing, but i'm sure the sound would be better from my video camera. I have the necessary equipment/software to convert to MP3.

I like the words (not the song). Only thing wrong from my perspective is all the hand in hand stuff is a bit bent. Couldn't it be changed to something like:
