ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

And they bagged Pauline Hanson for draping herself in the Australian flag o_O
This read (to me) like you were drawing a direct, not-facetious parallel between Hanson and Clinton. I thought you were serious; I didn't really have any reason not to.

The far left (with their safe spaces, etc) and the far right (with their immigration apocalypse etc) do my head in!!!!!
Does anyone care about hard data and reality anymore?

Nope. Just innuendo and horse plop.
Whatever tricks the plebs.
The big problem has the been the complete gutting of the public service around the world in the last 20 years. Governments simply don't have any evidence based policies anymore because they fired everyone that created them. That means all that policy makers are left with is their blind ideology, and that never ends well.

Complete BS. The man in the street will be exactly the same as before. Perhaps, and I doubt it, the multi nationals might feel some short term pain.

I see similarities between the FFA and the EU.

The IMF has some merit. The UN are a toothless joke but do some good work.
The WHO are actually a worthwhile organisation imho.

I used to be an Australian Democrat, after we didn't have enough members to remain a political party I don't really back a particular party. I'm a politics nerd, someone who votes below the line in the senate down to the last party, and reads every single parties' policies. I'm a rather centrist lefty, in that communism and socialism is all well and good in theory but power ends up too concentrated in too few hands, but that happens in capitalism as well. So no overthrowing the government for me, but hopefully just a more fair and equal future for all.

In my nearly 50 years of following politics in this country, I have never seen a shambles like the last 3 days. We effectively have no government. Hopefully if Mal gets rolled and he quits parliament as he's said he would, and some of the Nats quit the coalition, as they said they would, we may be able to elect someone who will put their employers (the people of Australia) first and not their lousy egos. Bring on the revolution!

If he was going down that path, he would've already done it. He knows they'll lose & he'll get the blame. This way when they get done he'll be able to say "not my fault".
You know, a little voice in my head says wonderingly "he really thinks he's going to win this, he thinks he's still got the numbers."
