ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Well, it'd have to belong here since it involves an Australian club.

Adelaide United take on NZ part-timers Waitakere United tonight for the right to a re-match with Gamba Osaka. On paper, this would look like a foregone conclusion even though Adelaide are without Cassio, Ognenovski and Diego who've fallen ill to a mystery virus :-X

And as they flash up the stat saying saying the Reds have had 65% of poessession, I looked at the scoreline, and then realised the Reds were taking their 7th corner of the night, when Mullen slams in a header from way fair way out. 1-1.

Mullen was open, and did a simple jump, not even very high, and belted the ball in.

galekovic is the only player for adelaide to touch the ball with his hands, when the ball come in for the frre kick after their goal he went to catch it in his chest, needs to put his hands up and catch or punch, he will always be a melbourne reject

The key to Adelaide's goal was they swapped from an inswinger to an outswinger, which meant the Waitakere defender was moving towards goal and couldn't correct quickly enough, leaving Jamieson free near the edge of the 18-yard box. You could clearly say Reid at the cornern saying "change".

Sigh, still a crap game.

Krishna, is a stand out for Waitakere though. Fast, seems to have good vision, passing game would be good I think if he had people who could receive.

Sarkies has some great speed, cristiano seems to have good vision as does Mullen. Dodd of course is good.

Mullen should have put that 2nd header away. And Bales yellow was a lazy professional foul. The WU keeper, Richard Gillespie  has been impressive as well, and knows exactly where he wants his walls to stand on FKs.

Travis Dodd got the second. It took them long enough, but they finally got the 2nd. It was of a free kick.

EDIT. Full time was 2-1. They play Gamba Osaka on Sunday night. I didn't hear what time though.

Dodd.

Not that we need him to fill a specific gap, but would have been a good replacement for Elrich?

They had to do without 3 key players which is going to dent anyone, but there has to be a massive improvement to have a chance against Gamba.
