ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Maty Ryan is reportedly joining K.R.C Genk (not yet confirmed) in the Belgian Pro League on loan from Valencia. Their main keeper is injured and their backup has only ever played two professional games. Genk sit ninth in the sixteen team league five points outside of the playoff for European spots with seven games to play (Belgium have a round robin of ten games between the top six teams to decide their European places) Looks a good move for him to get some game time.
They're also in the Europa league knockout phase and will be playing Astra FC of Romania for a place in the round of 16.

It will be a sad day when he plays against former club, Club Brugge. They absolutely adored him. In retrospect, he probably should've stayed... but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Full credit to him for testing his limits. Maybe the next move after Genk will be the winner.

Valencia fell apart around him so I don't think he can be blamed too much for falling there. Still very, very young for a goalkeeper so has a great career ahead of him.

From memory, he had a barnstorming start to his Valencia career thanks to a long term injury to their #1, Alves (???). Unfortunately he suffered a knee injury just at the wrong time, and Juame (???) who is also a brilliant keeper came in to replace him. A few changes in manager later, the recovery of Alves to full fitness, and all of a sudden, Maty is number 3 in the pecking order.

I think it was a good move tbh... He had a six month window to convince them that he was the better first-keeper, and I think he was on-track until he got injured... If that hadn't happened, I suspect he would've been their first-choice now... These things happen and could perhaps just as well have happened at Brugge...
Although Brugge really miss him - I know they were talking about wanting him back so I'm sort of surprised that they didn't go in for the loan deal, considering they were slammed out of the CL.

Haha.
Makes Coastal Liner look Boss!!

It's AGF - odds are they stole the bus after beating up some random immigrant driver... They're thugs, from Stig Töfting to Morten Nordstrand (The latter moreso courtesy of where he plays than how he plays) ;)

To be just a little fair to them though, the club announcement actually does say that they flew to Portugal, so I guess this is what a Portuguese bus company provides you with for transportation...

Jesus you're on it JP :-D I just saw a link to that thing on the sports pages of the paper just before - AND I'M BLOODY DANISH! So i follow the context. How did you get to it so fast? :-O
Just got a few alerts set up on my phone so whenever someone posts that possibly includes one of our former lads I can look at it and potentially post it. Got plenty of free time for a while so am trying to make anything vaguely related to us a bit more accessible.
