Does CCF still do awards based on referee votes? I remember having to vote for MoM or 3-2-1 as a ref......half the time we'd get off the field and have no idea who did what.....the only number you could remember was that on tackle that number 6 did...

Either that or it went to the goalscorer, or if you felt like deliberately not going to the goalscorer (because that's what every ref did) then it was the keeper.

Perhaps they give it more attention - but it's still a distraction from the 50-odd things you're already thinking about at once.
