Who to let go and who to buy

lets go ........ its just so hard to say the names as players like Tommy & Grumps are like the foundation unpon which the club has been built, Porter been loyal. Ok if I must bit the bullet then let go of, Damien Brown, Nik Mrdja, Tony Vidmar, Andrew Clark, (Clarkie hurts to say as he has run his guts out so often) offer reduced contracts to, Andre Gumprecht & Tom Pondeljak

Who to buy for me, Kaz Patafta, Kristian Rees (RB), Leo Bertos, Mark Bridge

Not sure if I am under the salary cap or not, but thats my buys and sells

I d like to get Bertos. Bridge wants loads of coin so no thanks.
In relation to Gumps possibly going, when you see what the options are to bring someone else in on similar money you start to think maybe he might stay?

agree. he'd prob take a $ cut, considering the opportunities he's created for himself with his academy going well. Would be hard to relocate and start from scratch, building the academy up again in a new area, especially one llike scumville. The kid's would turn up with asbestos for shinn'ies. 

Some 'are' saying he's getting 'old', which in turn, makes people think straight away that that means he's getting slow by comparison, which I don't think is the case. He hasn't played a lot, so doesn't have the opportunity to condition for the full 90 mins and combine that with coming back from a bad knee which had him on the sideline for months. I saw him at the Woy Woy pool every morning trying to keep up his cardio all that time, wasn't out fcuking fishing or sipp'in lattes at terrigal.(coff-nik, coff)

I think he's still got the good's, a hardened east german academy prodigy, with a tuff-strong work ethic and he uses the width well when distributing from a DM position. This is where he would come in especially handy, as cover for Mile when he's out on card's, which should happen at least twice a season, if Mile's not out then he's not defending hard enough.

I can see how the salary cap keeps it all fair and even, but say if all clubs are financially strong, would the FFA ever consider increasing it to improve the buying power of all clubs equally?

Why do we all have it in for Viddy. Our best defence this year has been with Boogs and him together. When Wilko is in the middle with either of them we leak goals.

I'd bracket Wilko and Clarky at right back. Viddy and Boogs in the middle with Stringers as cover and Browny and Heff for left back.

Yeah, Sarkies probably has the worst strike record for a so-called "Dead-ball specialist".

Reinaldo is a great player. However in front of goal he is probably on the same level of Zdrillic. He is probably one of the top target-men in the league but I still don't wouldn't sign him. If we were to sign a striker, i'd like to see someone with pace and a finisher. Although i'd take Harnwell if he was ofered.

I'd love to have Downey as a RB or RM.

Cornthwaite would be a decent replacement for Viddy if he leaves.

Caceres- YES!!!!

Would absolutely love to have Nathan Burns playing for us, but I doubt he'd sign for another A-League club.
