Thanks for that.
I said to style cafe you'd be seething about that
Haha....I wasn't pissed...and in all honesty I had to check the laws on that one! (my excuse is that I'm not reffing anymore).

Odd one. Oh well.

As a ref, geez you hate it when you get hit like that - but I'm glad the law now offers a drop ball. I remember one game down at Umina when I got struck on an attack, other team took the ball, ran up the other end and scored. All I could do was turn to the bench and apologise - I was praying he'd miss but no luck!!

Brilliant game. Everyone was up for this one, everyone played their part OMG how good was Alou when he came on! DDS's goal was a peach.
Hard to pick a man of the match ....Clisby, Rowles, Urena.

Birraz was very solid. 7/10
Nigro had his best game for quite a while. 7/10
Clisby was so good and could have had a hatrick. He worked so hard. The two he slotted were expertly taken. 8.5/10
Roun was a bit sloppy early but stepped up and played well. 7/10
Rowles was immense 8.5/10
Nizzy. He was everywhere. 8/10
DDS. Worked very hard and scored a beauty 7.5/10
Olli. Great Captains knock. Very calculated performance 8/10
Stens. Did some great stuff and played with intelligence and aggression 8/10
Simon. Excellent Game. Always a handful. 7.5/10
Urena. His extra bit of quality made all the difference. Worked tirelessly. 8.5/10

Kuol gave us a breathtaking cameo. 8/10

Excellent away support, well done to those legends that travelled down and made some noise. So good to see Style Cafe, Pirate Pete and SC's Dad going for it great pictures. OzHammer and his Mrs were lively too!

Also spotted Erin, Luke and Jimmy from the Podcast. BTW doesn't Eggy feel the cold???

So since I said our seasons done we've just dominated. Urena DDS Niz and Clisby have stepped up. Could be 3 to the good.

Maybe I need to death ride this team more......
Even the Jets are better than CCM. CCM just got lucky both times, and now 3 times against the Bulls. CCM have been the luckiest team in A-League history this season and the fact it is not CCM with a lower tally than the 2006/07 NZ Knights is proof that magic exists...

Bloody awesome night and huge props to the active boys this evening they got all the travelling fans right behind the boys. The fans on the bus left Campbelltown Stadium just as they arrived by belting out Wont Back Down - priceless!
COYY!!
:overheadl:
I didn't catch the game (had clashing plans) but I did notice the full moon out tonight.

Which reminded me that the name of the album that featured WBD was titled 'Full Moon Fever'...

Good try, but that death ride is not believable after a win. You need to get on board while we are f**king it up like I've done tonight........??

And TBH we started this match atrociously, which will be forgotten because we won, through the kind of spirit and heart that got us wins at the start of the season.

Starting atrociously and finding a way to get back into it and win- there's a reason we haven't seen CCM put any big scores on anybody this season so far.

Just caught up, man these guys don’t like doing things the easy way - I was mad as hell that Staj didn’t put Kuol on for Simon between 60 and 70mins to kill it off. Too conservative for my liking and could have backfired.
Urena, Rowles, Tongyik all amazing. Federici managed to hold back the floodgates pretty much solo, incredible effort and he’s probably the best in the league right now. Doing what Young did for Brisbane recent years but much further up the ladder.

Having a look at the Bullshites first goal and I'm sure the only reason it was given is because fox didn't have a camera angle to rule it off side. On slow mo, 1-2 frames after the pass, it looks as though the scorer would have been at least a shoulder in front of Tongyik.

I thought there was a real chance of him being marginally off but the wide shot never came. Camera man got in wrong and could have cost us dearly.

There was absolutely nothing in the laws to support Beath refusing to allow Simon to participate in that drop ball
Capn, I enjoy your input, especially on the Laws of the Game. However in this case you are wrong. The current law is as follows: I've bolded the key phrases.

DROPPED BALL

Procedure

  • The ball is dropped for the defending team goalkeeper in their penalty area if, when play was stopped:
    • the ball was in the penalty area or
    • the last touch of the ball was in the penalty area
  • In all other cases, the referee drops the ball for one player of the team that last touched the ball at the position where it last touched a player, an outside agent or, as outlined in Law 9.1, a match official
  • All other players (of both teams) must remain at least 4 m (4.5 yds) from the ball until it is in play
The ball is in play when it touches the ground.

I don't think it's the camera guys fault.

Picture this.
Your not the broadcaster next year and a rival (who've invested in the ownership of the product your broadcasting) is picking up something you've been the champion for, for 15yrs and sunk 100's of millions of dollars into. More than likely that rival will also obtain the rights to the champions league, the premier league and the national teams in the near future which you've also lost in recent years.
How willing are you to service that product to the best of your capability?
Does it matter if the league can't official the game properly because you won't provide the capability for them to do so?

Most (basically 95%) of that game last night was broadcast from one midfield camera. I'm betting there was no more than 3 cameras at that game.

Well.....shit.

I just got schooled.....:D:D

for posting the relevant part.

I wasn't fully across these changes, I looked up the part about DB for it touching the ref, didn't even think the answer would have been in this part of the laws.

I guess I'll go write lines on the blackboard then.

Obviously Fox skimping on cameras is the root cause but the cameramen usually do a pretty decent job anyway, I think he just got caught out slightly and wasn’t far off having them in the shot.
