ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Round 18. Newcastle away.

If CCM can score at least 3 goals on an average of 1 in every 3 games from here, that should give them more breathing space below them on the table. I don't want to see this team being set up for a draw in any game from now until seasons' end because if they get (say) a 2-0 lead against a top 4 side and stun them a bit, time might work in their favour when it comes to holding off the other side (like in the Perth game earlier this season) or grabbing 3+ goals. Setting the team up more defensively has just lead to them chasing down deficits and it hasn't worked so far.

Harold's finish there is the biggest positive here - that was enough to make me think 'oh, that's interesting. What have you got next?'
It was not only an actual clinical finish, but effortless. So, I'm looking forward to seeing him on the pitch next.
Outside of that....I think our 3 goals may have flattered us a bit. Weird one...those goals didn't seem to come from anywhere. But we've been saying all season that we need to be able to score on those random slivers of opportunity that come from nowhere. 3 different players scoring may have been a positive thing too.
RT's goal wasn't half bad either - he had to change his momentum in a single step, in the wet, to get anything on that header.

I just can’t see us winning another game this year., whereas the Jets outplayed us in a big way.

I don’t think goal difference will matter.

Definitely time for a major shake up.
Change formation. 4-3-3.
Pick players who want to play. No more Oar, no more Silvera.

formation for Adelaide

...............Birraz.............
Miller Ziggy Tongyik Hatch
.............Kim Nizzy..........
.....Harold Duric Majok....
...............Murray.............

At least this squad look like they might still be interested.

Stensness is another player who has fallen away.He does not appear to add much in attack or defence.Nisbet or even Melling would be better.Nisbet is a compact intelligent player and Melling despite technical flaws always plays with passion.

Our lovely friends over at Terrace Novocastria tried to go the bus

Did their mums never teach them to throw rocks?
Actually that’s a stupid question. They teach f**k all in Newy. The brain dead f**ks.

Alright that’s my dose of weekly torment. Off to walk my dogs. We’re all barking mad following this side. But what you gonna do. Quit or suffer. And Im not much for quitting.
Mate you should try supporting a lower league English team too.
Then you can go through this shit twice a week!
What's more you can get up at 2am on a Sunday morning for it.
It's laugh a minute.

Really surprised at how quiet Simon was today. I wonder if being starting Captain again has messed with his head - maybe he was trying too hard to remain calm and lead that way, rather than just get out there and fire up. Who knows. Can't really isolate him in mindset today though.

The very soft yellow has curtailed him.
He didn`t want to get sent off like last time and let the team down again.
So many similar tackles and yet no cards, Ams certainly has it in for Matty...

And gives penalties away.
But yes he does have his moments. Wouldn't be bad idea.

Topor Stanley way worse on Silvera. Probably got away with that as the ref was playing advantage.

But seriously does anyone point out to these refs later in the week the mistakes they make?
Ref... Yeah but it was Matt Simon, he plays for the Mariners LOL.
