Round 18 - CCM v Roar @ Gosford

I expect the team to be similar to those above but I would prefer

McGing Baro, Golec, Rose.
------Tommy Wout
Powell DDS Hoole
-------Skapetis

Bench. Appiah Wales TBT and Rose.

I would let the front four move around a fair bit and would expect Powell to be playing up front and Skapetis wide for a fair amount of the time.

Rose is in front of Melling because he can also cover CB.I would have TBT in front of Melling simply because Powell and Skapetis both are short of match conditioning and will need to be replaced and it would be interesting to see the partnership of Lachie and Trent on in the last 20 mins to see if any NYL combos show up

Did you know it’s been 11 games since Central Coast Mariners last beat Brisbane Roar in the Hyundai A-League?

  • The Roar haven’t lost at Central Coast Stadium since March 2013, picking up five wins and a draw in the Hyundai A-League at the venue since.
From A League App. Our social media crew left these stats off their tweet.

A ferrari with no steering wheel is a useles car that goes fast, looks good but crash and burns on the turn

Yeah but even without a steering wheel we can sell a Ferrari and get 3-4 really good quality cars with $$$. I wish this were true of Kubi. DDS on the other hand... but PLEASE let us have him for another couple years. He should be going to the WC imo.

It’s been a while since I could say this but I’m really looking forward to tonight’s game. I think this might be the start of a good run and am hoping for a good atmosphere. f**ken love our little stadium!

I feel exactly the same way. Sure do hope we're right. And agree, love our stadium, barring the issues we've had. So Im doubly looking forward to hearing the new speaker system which has been worse than atrocious for as long as I can remember, and checking out the new score board.

It's horrendous isn't it. I feel like all I have is endless memories of being beaten by Roar.
Odds are only 2:35 for us to win. Just goes to show how dire Roar are rated presently. But they were capable of beating AU just a few weeks ago and should not be underestimated imo - even with the wounded animal stuff aside.

As other have said, important we play well, get a lead, and hopefully they will break.

Should've beaten WSW at home.
Should've beaten the Nix at home.
Should've beaten City at home with an extra player at our advantage.

Only time CCM have ever beaten the Roar at home was the season they won the GF and should've been Premiers too.

I expect a forgettable draw or the arsiest Roar win you've ever seen (3 goal comeback, match-winner from a deflected 40 metre shot in literally the last play of the game)

I won't enjoy this game, not until (unless) the final whistle goes and it's 3 points as we deserve. Based upon last weekend vs SFC, CCM should win this. But something about the Orange jerseys rattles them.

Of all the teams for the Roar to play after the most embarrassing performance in the clubs' history, it's us. F**k. The glimmer of hope (as far as I'm concerned) is that the Roar are playing for Aloisi to get sacked...

No hoole starting. Interesting lineup, hoping that Skapetis gets enough game time to show is worth. I thought what we have seen of him is pretty impressive.

The love affair with Roux on the bench continues.

He better not get put on the wing again.

I suppose McGing could go CB if necessary or Brama maybe but I don’t like Roux over Rose.

Rose is completely on the nose now

Gee, not the side I would have picked...
Must be stuff from training we don't know about
Brama clearly not completely 100%

Okon is Appiah no 1 fan

But with no Hoole and Wales on the left and TBT hasn’t played A League in a while he gets in by default
