ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

R9: CCM v WSW

Will be tough but a good indication of how much better we are this year. WSW have some class players especially in the attacking third, but are still building. Alot will depend on any injuries we may have....Monty looked uncomfortable when he went off against Perth, as did Galloway. I'd also like Faty back although the 2 young guys did very well.

Id give the two young guys another run. I was really impressed with their performances. A bit shaky but really only due to inexperience.
It is nice to see Okon have somewhat of a selection headache.

They control games well, with disruption and quick transitions. They create a lot of chances which lately they have been poor at converting. Santalab's last week was epic: shot over from 4m. If they start to click in this area we could be in for a flogging.
Good crowd, 1:1

WSW have not had the rub of the green and their key players are starting to hit top form... Having said that they are still trying to get the combinations right ..

I think we can win this and equally we could cope a flogging ...

My gut tells me this will be a good game, lets hope for a win and other results to go our way and we could move further up the table.

No idea what the result will be, but I'm more interested in the performance for now. We're making strides, and the Canberra game aside we can see progress on a week-to-week basis. If we keep playing well but cop a result against a team playing better, I can live with that. If we play like busted arses and lose a winnable game (or even blag our way to an undeserved victory) I'll be less pleased!

Exactly how I feel. Want to see a win - but continuing to build with a good performance is what matters most. Some slip ups are surely inevitable - but confidence must be growing - and it's warranted because the change is real. Despite the pundits it's not all about our opposisition being bad, we've been good. And even the pundits were waking up to that last week.

Drive bys this year are struggling all over the park with both keepers well down on confidence and the back 4 is so much less experienced than we are used to for a Wanders side and not to mention the lack of confidence they have up front as well. I've watched almost all of their games and sure they have missed some opportunities but so have Adelaide and Nix, in summary they deserve to be where they are on form and are not a team of similar ability to last years IMO even if they do gel. If we play like last Thursday with quick transitions we have the pace to ask huge questions of their inexperienced defence. Like wise as mentioned here by others Martinez is starting to hit prime game fitness and he is quality and if our defence is not as determined as last Thursday we could let a few in for sure. The longer we keep them out on Saturday the more our confidence will build and we will win, let an early one in we may struggle. Expect a lot of their supporters to show up as they will be thankful to watch a live match at a proper rectangle stadium, expect them to be loud so we need to be louder!

"IF" we can replicate the attitude that is starting to bubble throughout the team, consistently, we will get the bodies to fill the seats.
Okon knows this.
He knows that we've got to get results.
He also knows that the way we get results means almost as much as the result itself.
Over the last 2 games we can see this from watching from the stands.
That's why you are starting to hear the fans siting next to you join in when they ask "Who Do We Sing For".
And yes they will hear that on their televisions & start to think.......Hey I love that shit.
I'm going ..........because I remember.........what it's like when we kick arse.
Yep, bring on the Wanderers..........I really don't think they will arrive as confident as they make out. Understandably

So "Neville Nobody" is having a go at Mariners fans.
Gee Neville that's a good idea from an ex Jets player.
But I suppose your lowest crowd of the year (last week 11,201 v Roar @ home) is a bit of a worry
for last years grand finalist.
Anyway Neville I look forward to your picture on the big screen and the first time you touch the ball.
And quietly Neville I'm sure our Mr Pain has some plans for you himself this Saturday evening

Well Neville can have a chance to see genuine fans and not the band wagoners at WSW....who seem unable to attend Spotless Stadium.
Class over arse Scotty boy.
