ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Nothing we could go about the first.
Sydney are a good side this year. Then so easily could have been 1-1. Then Nash ...spirit killer. Let's hope Reddys injury is nothing serious or Nash could determine our season.

My biggest concerns: too much space between the lines - which is why our defence looks so shaky and them so dangerous. We can't play through their pressing and so are staring to make more and more errors or pointless balls. We also have to step up the physicality IMO.

I'm not sure it's too much Moss's fault - we miss a high quality 10 - triforo doesn't have it for me - and we haven't replaced Weemac ably. Mane for Bernie is fairly close...though manes short passing looks questionable.

Let's hope it's a game of two halves...

Fair result. We are not very good, we show signs of promise but just lack that 5% and too me still seem a touch too negative. Then again we were not that bad that we lost by 7 either.

You don't lose a season in November, but given the upcoming schedule I don't think things are going to improve much considering we potentially have a match every few days and have to rotate players in and out. Best I think we can do is come home with a wet sail and sneak to top 6 during the last round. Then it's knockout lottery.

And we are back to not scoring penalties
Why didn't Fitzy take the penalty? he has taken the three previous (I think) without missing.
What worried me most today was a lack of urgency for much of the game, we looked like a side playing late in the season that can't make the finals and are just going through the motions not like a team fresh from a week off and playing just their 3rd game of the season. I feel we might be in trouble.

As West Sydney showed in Saudi Arabia, good sides make their own luck.

Are you serious!? Did you see the game? Wanderers had very little to do with not losing that match... Not that I'm not a little giddy about the ACL champions coming from the A-league...
And no, I'm not saying we deserved a win today, just that on top of everything else, the 50/50-type chances all went the wrong way too.

Not sure what we could have done differently with the cattle we have to be honest. It is baffling me why Anderson has been left out twice now, he isn't great but he has way more experience

That was dire. It seemed to me that the players had no idea of their positions, or the structure. Sydney weren't great, we were complete rubbish.

Wrong starting team, again, and none of the Mariners fight. Monty is our best player but starts on the bench, and who knows what Anderson and Fitzgerald have done to upset Moss. Bizarre.

I can handle us losing but what I can't stand is the lack of desire and urgency. We were 2-0 down and you would have thought we were in front. We are so slow to move forward, and it is excruciating to watch, or we just bomb it forward and hope. Apparently these are our "tactics".

Moss said he was "proud of his team", that we're heading in the right direction, and that it was an entertaining game. We've scored one goal, and conceded 5 in three games. He is clearly delusional.

Disgusted that he thought it was appropriate to laugh it up with Arnie in the post game interview. That is setting a fine example for the players on how to take a loss. Looks like they'll all get plenty of practice at it.

No we wont TB. Our only hope is that don't start the same team.......if we do we won't win a single game all year.

The Antonis goal was class and for that they deserved the win. All in all we could have ended up at 2-2 and that would have been highway robbery.

I'm not understanding Mossy's selections or replacements. Sorry - but Sim is a state league player and a good squaddie that sometimes makes the game day squad - not a first XI player. Fitzy needs to be starting ahead of him and Monty has to be in the team. I'd love to see our top team - just for 1 game - so that I know whether we have anything to look forward to this year.
