Well we on halfway thru the comp what has stood out for you.
Any revised predictions

WE a currently leading in goals for  but equal 2nd goals against  :headbutt:
i honestly beileve we are the team to be feared all we need is a improvement in the defense and we are gonna dominate we'll still concede but we can clearly put enough away to make up foir it if we make the opposition work a bit harder for there goals insert a healthy heff and boogs and i think thats all we need not to mention the extra goals from heff as well
very excited bout the rest of the season.

Also big possibilitys of our rivals dropping out of the four and even down to the spoon ova the upcoming weeks.

*sad face*

Not too sure about any revised predictions.  We seriously need to sort our defence out though, we can't keep trusting on scoring more than the other team if they're knocking in 2 or 3 every week.  It works sometimes, but not all.  Some week-to-week consistency wouldn't hurt us either.

If QLD can learn to win at home, they will walk this league in.  I dunno what it is, but they just can't do it.  Something to do with the stadium being so immense or some such??

Melbourne havn't even left first gear and they're strolling away with 1st place.  Watch out when they decide it's time to play.

Adelaide - equal 1st with Melbourne and they've had the madness of ACL to deal with as well.  I can see them running away with the Premiership if they win the ACL.

For the sake of the league, I hope there's another Super Sunday come the last day - and seeing as we're the last fixture of the regular season (at home to Adelaide), that would be positively grand.  Sydney play Newcastle just before us on that day too.

Wellington........... gotta get their act together, and fast. They're starting to look Perth-esque on the field.  Off the field they seem to be okay, but we can't have two ultra shit teams always occupying 7th and 8th.

Rukavytsa is wasted out west, he should come here.  ;D

Newcastle and Sydney - don't really know what to make of these two at the moment.  Can't see Newcastle making the 4 though.  Sydney..... well, they're 11 individuals running around a field with a clown of a coach, no team spirit to be seen amongst any of them.  Aloisi has to be in line for one of the most disappointing (in terms of expectations) signings in the A-League thus far.

my preseason prediction was:

1. Adelaide
2. Melbourne
3. Mariners
4. QLD
5. Sydney
6. Jets
7. Perth
8. Wellington

Still sticking with that at this stage.

11 games to go and IMO half the points needed to make the four. Still in the balance.

We simply need to get our best players fit and on the pitch.

If we do that soon, we can look at top 2 again, if we cant, a grim fight for 3rd or 4th.

Personally, I can see Qld and Scum missing out on the 4 but would love it to be Sydney just so we can hear Kossies whining (just before they punt him of course)

Well it's almost halfway, will be after Round 11 is complete :p

Melbourne Victory- good win in Adelaide followed two poor defeats. Squad depth is impressive throughout the spine.

Adelaide United- their squad is as strong as any and to keep themselves in the top 3 has been tremendous so far with the travel factor.

Sydney FC- good thing for them that they've made a good start to the season, yet seemingly unconvincing at the same time. Cole and Musialik good pick-ups though.

Queensland Roar- away-day specialists, imagine if they started winning at home? Good mix of youth and experience through the team does the trick.

Central Coast Mariners- who said you guys were boring? The scorelines suggest not! Especially when you play Sydney! In all seriousness, Caceres has been a good acquisition and the strikeforce looks good, but the defence stinks (especially compared to previous seasons).

Newcastle Jets- a crisis club waiting to happen. A good win over Melbourne is more than offset by some very insipid performances. Player uncertainty has affected morale, surely their good young players won't be around for long?

Perth Glory- amazingly, light at the end of the tunnel after good wins over Sydney and Wellington. Home form has been good, away form stinks to the high heavens. Harnwell and Rukavytsya can hurt most teams, imagine what they'd do with a quality midfield behind them.

Wellington Phoenix- very strange. Woeful in some games yet promising in others, and woefully short of creativity compared to last season's seemingly vibrant side.

To be fair to our defence, this weekends game featured 2 regular defenders, an attacking midfielder who is still qualified for the NYL and a player who, with the best will in the world, is not HAL quality.

A back 4 with Boogs and Heff with a fit again Clarkie on the bench will see us back to our miserly best

yeah lucky we have such depth in strikers or wed be really struggling, funny how things turn - a couple of seasons back we couldnt score now all of a sudden were top scorers

i cant see perth, wellington or scum making the grade this season which means we will be fighting with qld, syd, mel and adelaide for a finals spot - i think we will make it and sydney the ones to miss out :D

1. adelaide
2. melbourne
3. queensland
4. mariners
--------------
5. sydney
6. scum
7. perth
8. welly boots

My original picks were:-

Mariners
Melbourne
Wellington
Qld
Newcastle
Sydney
Perth
Adelaide

I must have been pretty wiped out to come up with Adelaide last.

New prediction
1 or 2. Adelaide
1 or 2. Melbourne
3 or 4 or 5. Mariners
3 or 4 or 5. QLD
3 or 4 or 5. Sydney

6. Perth
7. Jets
8. Wellington

If we could tighten up the defence we could challenge for the top. If we don't we may miss out.

If we can stop the leak of goal watch out league cause were going to the top.
But if we don't 2 at the best wouldn't suprise is united faded away at the end of the season and watch out for Qld the dark hoarse.

Title winners: Victory
Woooden: Scumcaslte
HAL Player of the year: Simone
Mariners player of the year: Mile
End of the season for us: 3
Semi's:  Major Melb vs United
            Minor  Mariners vs Roar
Final:United vs CCM
Grand final: CCM vs Melb
Player to Most Improve from here to the end: Macca
Top scorer: King Matty

If the defence turns round we are real contenders.
P.s Alomissi contract ripped up at the end of the  season.

Putting captain obvious hat on, we need to stop conceding goals quick smart. I've been walking on air ever sice saturday night, but the facts are we've won three, drawn five and lost two.

Not enough wins and that's because of our defence. We've let in some terrible goals and Tobin needs to work overtime on our defence. If we do that, we'll go close to the Premiership with our strikers.

I think the game on the weekend may turn out to become our turning point for the season. The boys will have unbelievable self belief after that and it's onwards and upwards.

My top four finish is:
tards
Us
Adelaide
choppers, with the sheep last.

I just can't see Queensland making it. They are a two man team, Moore and Miller. Without either of them they are rooted. Miller has scored all their goals so far and as soon as the heat kicks in he will have a heart attack on the pitch and they won't score another goal.
