ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hahahaha, we beat the average for 08/09 (11,135) for our one game v Sydney.

Somebody send that to Rebecca Wilson.

Remember that in a lot of countries, many clubs are based in smaller towns and leagues tend to be dominated by 2-3 big city clubs. Also, in many countries people don't quite have the same purchasing power we do.

What do you mean by purchasing power, David?

These statistics are of limited interest to me. As DV says, other leagues are v. different from ours.
We know we have major potential for growth. I'm not interested in what other leagues average, I'm interested in CCM getting the 15 000 average that I think we can get.
That would take a rise in general interest in the A-league. That takes a strong Sydney, imo, to interest the extremely Sydney centric media. If we have a strong product, in a few years the wider exposure that comes with FTA tv will send us close to our full potential.

This is a subject we could write pages and pages about. Effects of ACL, Asian cup, WC.
To sum it up,
This season's averages will show up as an anomoly in an upwardly moving trend.
