The Stajcic Era, a Partnership of desperates or a Marriage Made in Heaven?

Pretty clear.
The lesbian mafia led a crusade against him. The weak and feckless FFA had already started they wanted a female coach of the Matildas.....because they Lesbian mafia told them it was a good idea.
When you are clueless like the FFA............you are easily led.
Why always so provocative?

He could have gotten both if his lawyers used the Rebel Wilson case as precedent his lawyers would have easily have won, they would have been forced to provide it by a court if Stajcic took it that far. But I can understand from his perspective that he didn't want a long and draining court battle.
I thought they agreed a termination payout in lieu of a notice period. But yeah could still attack for defamation and perhaps unfair dismissal.

They did do a termination payout, but he could sue for defamation and then future potential earnings loss considering the insane amount football coaches around the world are paid he would likely be successfully, Rebel Wilson was successful in a very similar case which would be used by his legal team as a precedent.

They did, it would be around the defamation angle. But if they negotiated a settlement and formal apology that's probably a good end to things. Should they go down that path Staj becomes they guy thats at war with the FFA and a woman with cancer. Even if completely justified I doubt many people would want to pursue that path especially as he's landed on his feet and coming out of this with the moral high ground.

I think defamation payouts have a maximum value in law. Rebel Wilson's case is in appealate court because it far exceeded the legal maximum. So unless you're a Hollywood actor/actress the financial imposition would probably almost eat all your profits

To a degree it has a maximum value in law but that is based on common law and precedent and that common law and precedent is in flux at the moment, for Stajcic it might be worth it considering the insane amount of money places like Qatar and China offer. His lawyers could easily argue he lost a significant amount of future earnings.

Staj May also have had something nasty stuff come out if he went to court. The stuff that they think they had would have had to come out.

Also the rebel Wilson apology was a court decision? Is that right. One thing to be forced by a court another to be forced by the defendant.

Staj certainly has come out in front and when it gets really nasty there are no winners except the lawyers bank accounts.

Did the right thing imo. Now for him to show those smarts with us

LOL.. their eff up is our gain. No doubt we are paying Staj unders so this settlement would defs take the sting out of it.
Although did anyone ever believe Staj was at fault obviously excepting those who bought the Reid BS hook line and stinker

No, seemed very unlikely from early on didn’t it. Left right and centre people were being made to pay their dues for bad behaviour, but as the pendulum swung too hard, witch hunts also started taking place and some people were being destroyed for even innocuous stuff, or the unsubstantiated rumour of.

In this climate any remotely legitimate transgression meant goodbye... so when a few days had passed and they still had offered up no specific infraction Staj had made. It seemed pretty likely this was a case of the dark side of identity/gender politics rearing its head. And then as the weeks went by, with all the Matilda support, Staj going on the attack not defence with his lawyering up... then we sign him, which meant there surely could be nothing of substance, it seemed pretty certain he’d actually done nothing wrong.

Anyway, that’s bloody great. What a truly awful ordeal that must have been for Staj and his family.

But now his name is cleared, reputation restored, and it sounds like he’s been well compensated. Now he can buy a lovely house on the beach and get stuck in to turning us around and proving what a great coach he is.

He’s landed the biggest challenge in the A league. But if you like a challenge, then it’s a pretty exciting one and a great way to make your mark.

Look how trumpeted Rudan has been just for making the kiwis competitive and finishing 6th. Finish 5th with us and surely he must be hailed as the new ‘special one’.
