Setback for Sydney FC with Enfield to miss season startJuly 1, 2008 - 9:31AM

Sydney FC midfielder Michael Enfield is set to miss the start of the A-League season due to a knee injury.

The 24-year-old American had looked on track for a return to the Sydney side after undergoing a knee reconstruction late last year, but an arthroscope has revealed cartilage damage in the same knee that could see Enfield sidelined for up to 12 weeks.

He will begin treatment for his injury immediately, with Sydney FC planning to bring in a short-term replacement.

I hope for Jonny Aloisi's sake that knee problems aren't contagious  ;)

Sydney FC planning a short term replacement? You have to dip into your youth team first and then short term replacements are a last resort?

Enfield has to be even a bigger waste on Money than our NIk. He hasnt even played for them maybe he is over here on a holiday.
Speaking of Amercians FRED who played for MELB is carving up the MLS so A-League is about on comparison with that.

Except that in the two years of Enfield's contract (one of which has only started) he makes barely more than half what Mrdja earnt in his first year of screwing you - let alone all three.

He's also the only Jewish player in the HAL - for that alone he is a legend.

Yes, but they're still sorting through them on Football Supersh!te.
