ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

SASHO Petrovski has continued his journey up the F3 by signing for Newcastle Jets from Central Coast Mariners today.
Newcastle Jets this afternoon confirmed the signing of the 33 year old striker who began his A-League career at Sydney FC in 2005. He has now signed up on a two year deal at Newcastle.

Petrovski will be available on Matchday 1 of the Jets' first foray into the AFC Champions League when the team plays Beijing Guoan on Tuesday, 10 March, however he will not make the switch until the Mariners' 2009 Finals campaign has concluded.

A true goal poacher and one of the most prolific goalscorers in Australian domestic football for over a decade, Petrovski has already played for both of the Jets' intrastate rivals in the Hyundai A-League, Sydney FC and Central Coast Mariners, scoring 28 goals in his 85 games with the two clubs.

Before this he was one of the most potent strikers in the National Soccer League (NSL) competition, playing for the likes of Wollongong Wolves and Parramatta Power, and also enjoyed a stint abroad with Danish outfit Viborg FF.

"We're very happy to have Sasho on board, particularly with our venture into the Asian Champions League on the horizon," Jets' CEO John Tsatsimas said this afternoon.

"He brings a tremendous amount of experience to our squad, especially on the domestic front which will certainly be of great value to us moving forward. Having been such a dominant figure in Australian domestic football for some time, he will be someone that our younger players can learn and draw knowledge from.

"Goalscorers of Sasho's calibre, and with his excellent record, are quite difficult to come by in Australia and his presence in the final third is an attribute which makes him an ideal recruit for our club.

"We wish Sasho all the very best of luck in this year's Finals Series with the Mariners, but we're also very much looking forward to having him here in Newcastle when he joins the rest of our team," he said.
