Cameras are always on the sun side. Fans complained about looking into the sun so club said let's have the fans on the sun side too.

But also the paramount coverage isn't exactly professional so who cares if they are facing the sun or away from it

Broadcast regs state that main cameras can’t point into the sun. Also, there’s no broadcast facilities on the eastern side - all media boxes, gantries for cameras etc are located on the western side. The OB trucks also need to park on the western side.

The girls put in a solid, professional performance this afternoon and the only real disappointment was that they weren’t able to go on with it in the second half and really towel up Canberra.

This team really has done the Coast proud this season and let’s hope they can push deep into the finals.

Two tough games but we matched both of these teams in the first meetings. Win both and we are guaranteed a top 2 spot.

At the start of the season, I would have regarded avoiding the spoon as being a good first season. Still being in with a mathematical chance of making the finals with 2 games to go would have constituted a great season, so to have already locked up a finals spot and be in with a shot at top 2 at this stage is fantastic and a credit to everybody involved.
