ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Predictions:

MV v SFC. Draw - 1 - 1.
NCJ v GCU. GCU - 1 - o.
NIX v PER. Upset here - Perth - 1 - 0.

My predictions..
-Melbourne 0 - Sydney 1
- GCU 2 - Newcastle 1 (Gold Coast getting the winner in extra time)

Perth v Nix... 1-1 at fulltime, 2-2 at end of extra time, Perth to win on penalties.

Assuming that melb/syd is 2 legged and rest are 'do or die'?

Yes, but international break in a fortnight, so Sydney won't host Melbourne in the second leg until most likely the 7th March, and that weekend the highgest placed winner of the other 2 games will host the other winner, for the right to play the loser of 1 v 2 away.  Winner of 1 v 2 hosts the grand final and has a week off.

Fortunately for GC I think Newc are in even worse form than they are, but second week I think they are basically certain to face a Nux team who are the only side they didn't manage to beat this year.  While Nux's away record is poor, Herbert certainly seems to have Moron's number

Gold Coast should win this tonight. Need Smeltz to score for fantasy team.

+1, he is my captain

a few goals or assists from rees and culina should help as well

away goals don't count in this finals series

i.e. for the sydney/melbourne home and away ties

Did they change their own rulebook and not tell anyone??

Page 3:

"The following criteria will be applied until one (1) team can be determined as the
winner:
a. highest aggregate of goals scored over the two (2) legs;
b. highest number of away goals scored (away goals rule) over the two (2) legs."
