Congratulation boys!

I'm glad to see the camp is being held in Sydney as it might zap a little sting from the Glory boys legs for this weekend's clash (fingers crossed).

What's the progress with our training facilities? Seems to me the best place to hold the camp is on the Coast... half way between Scum and Bling... Makes sense to me  ;D

Indeed, especially another chance for Tommy - but note no Sasho.

The Victory fans, and I must say me to an extent, will be spewing over Bolton being picked above Theoklitos!

Bolton, I cant believe it. Theoklitos is streets ahead of him.

Talay???

Does Frank pick the squad as well as the refs.

Hmm, there are some interesting picks there.

I hate to say it but the squad looks to be picked on the basis of about two or three games rather than on a season's worth.

Yes Pim hasn't had a lot of time but surely some extended video work would have come up with some different results.

For example, no Craig Moore?

The main surprise for me is how old that squad is. I would have been thinking of something with an average age about 3-4 years younger.

There must be some thinking behind this that we're not privy to.

Also, the camp starts on Monday. We play late on Sunday night. Remember what happened when Mrdja got into Socceroos camp...

brett, he didnt pick craig moore because he has seen moore extensively in europe especially at barrusia mochengladbach when pim was on the coaching staff and moore in the team. He wants to get a look at players he doesnt know yet, thats what he told fox sports anyway

Can any of you guys clear up something I don't understand?

I would have thought that the overseas players would have to be released well before the round on the weekend before the match as it is a FIFA sactioned fixture. Is this not the case? I don't understand why the OS players can only arrive two days before the match.

Thanks, I had considered that.

I thought though, if he has some certainties in his mind he might have brought them in to see how the other players go alongside them, and also start building relationships between rival players.

I'm guessing also that he might have picked such an old squad to pick out the best of the veterans to then complement with some youth in the next camp.

Don't see any left backs in there.
Was almost heart breaking hearing Pim saying that Heffo was "on the list".

Theoklitos and Jedi are the most unlucky players.

Surely Vargas, Pantelis, Bolton, Durante and Talay arn't going to feature in any actual game.

Matt Thompson was on the list and mentioned Topor-Stanley on FSN, although he couldn't remember his name.

David Carney may be a possible selection for that position. Especially if he plays with a back three and wingbacks.

This training camp is used to take a closer look at the players.

I expect those two to be dropped as soon as Verbeek has a look at either of them.
