13 home games at Central Coast Stadium. I would prefer the regional round at Bathurst (Western Mariners) but it is not a home game.

Well, if this is correct then it's good news.

"In more pleasing news for the Mariners, they've won back their most cherished fixture, with the club successfully lobbying for the right to be reinstated as the host for their traditional New Year's Eve clash."

Not so sure about Geelong. If the date's right then it could work for us, maybe we could organise a caravan jaunt to Vic. That would be enjoyable, stop off at Rutherglen on the way there or the way back. Nice wine and food country, and I love the local Durif. :)

Playing Victory in Geelong is a home game for the Mariners? For those going along to meet Storrie and Mielekamp it could be an interesting discussion.

Well if it's a home game which can't be played at BT (yeah, I know it's CCS now, but it's like the F3/M1, I liked the old name) then I don't care where it's played and if we can get some coin out of it....
My preference would be to play it in Hobart, then I can kill 2 birds etc. I can visit my dear old Mum (and stay with her, saving accommodation) and maybe introduce my cousins to the Mighty Mariners.
Oh well, I can wish can't I?

Anywhere in regional NSW would'acould'a shoud've been a 'win' for the Mariners as a club. State of Victory ehm..... I mean Victoria are the ONLY winners here.

Short Term Gain ( $$$$$$$)
Same'Ol Charlesworth Shame :poo::poo::poo:

Not sure there are any suitable venues in regional NSW? Anyway, 13 games at CCS is an improvement and hopefully we get the NYE game back.

If Heart can play in Albury I think it'd very easy to find a venue.
Interesting. Well i guess the main reason is that we will be well paid to play it in Geelong. As long as the money is reinvested into the club, and this was a genuine regional round i don't have an issue.

THE DRAW IS IN! Are You In?

Football Federation Australia has today announced the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 Draw. The Central Coast Mariners are excited to head into a Season 11 that includes the return of our iconic New Year’s Eve clash, six NSW derbies at Central Coast Stadium and 13 home matches to be played at Gosford.

The action kicks off on October 10 with a home game at Central Coast Stadium against Perth Glory where Nick Montgomery will lead out our boys for the season’s first Hyundai A-League encounter. Our regular season campaign will be rounded out at home with our final fixture of the season on April 9 against the Newcastle Jets in an #F3Derby.

A headline feature of this season’s draw is double the amount of NSW derbies compared to last season that will see us face off against Western Sydney Wanderers, Sydney FC and the Newcastle Jets two times each IN the Central Coast.

Members and fans can also look forward to plenty of Mariners’ action over the festive season with a battle against Western Sydney Wanderers locked in for the Australia Day long weekend where our boys will feature in front of a packed out Central Coast Stadium on Saturday January 23, 7:30pm kick-off.

When it comes to away fixtures, at the top of the list sits a Boxing Day blockbuster against Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium.

The Central Coast Mariners have also worked in collaboration with Melbourne Victory to take the beautiful game to Geelong where we will face off against the reigning Champions at Simonds Stadium.

Shaun Mielekamp, Central Coast Mariners CEO spoke optimistically about the Mariners’ side of the draw and revealed the advantages of our round 14 clash in Geelong.

“It is fantastic that we have regained our New Year’s Eve fixture and this is one that we are proud to highlight as one of the must see events on the Central coast each year,” Mielekamp said.

“A lesson has been learnt and we expect that the New Year’s Eve match is never forgotten about again. We will be lobbying the FFA to get some commitment on this as a permanent fixture not only for the next few seasons but also for every season moving forward.

“The Saturday night match against the Wanderers on the Australia Day long weekend is yet another big win in the draw that we are confident will sell out, hence why membership becomes an important decision for all fans to join in.

“We are very excited to have secured 13 home games in Gosford for our members, we have been able to positively work with Melbourne Victory to help grow the game regionally in Geelong and the reality is without this match we would not have been able to achieve all 13 home games.

“I can’t wait until October 10th and see the Yellow Army in full voice helping us join in together for an exciting season ahead, Mielekamp said.

13 home games.
No NSO or Brookvale.
NYE game is back.
The trade off is we play a game in Geelong for which we get decent coin.

I'll take it.

Im probably just a grumpy pessimistic bastard but I think its rubbish personally.

90% 5pm games...in the sun at CCSTADIUM sucks bulk doodle, poor crowds as a result. Meanwhile Sydney and WSW enjoying the nice 7:30pm kick off most of the time, surprise surprise

. i agree ... we will always struggle to build our crowd numbers to a consistently high level with so many sun-baked games

Outside of the Sunday games, It's a good draw. Better than the last few years and hopefully next year management and Fox can sort out the number of Sunday games for the future.

My whinge, 4 games in Victoria and I don't think I'll be able to see any. 25th Oct is first week of uni exams, 19th Nov is possible but thursday, 8th Jan is Geelong and 21st Feb is late sunday when I restart Uni on the 22nd. Time for a Sydney trip it seems!

Why so many 5:00 games at CCS .... because we don't rate for Fox as well... Fox drive many of these decisions.

The AFL are holding talks about equalisation for teams who get many poor time slots... this must affect our crowds the latter starting games will normally add 2K to a match .
Thats a lot of coin a club like ours could use and also makes us look like we can't get decent crowds.
