Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. The GA tactic of telling him he had to score 15 goals to get a new contract seemed to work. Hopefully GA only gave him a one year contract and will put a proviso of 20 goals to get another contract and another Golden Boot. Sounds ideal.

Congrats to Danny on a stellar season. Even when he was not scoring his contribution was excellent.

Jets are a shambles. Can't see why he wold want to close out his playing career with a wallowing club against the one where he just had so much success and his friends are. I know he's a Newy boy. But the Coast is close enough. No need to go further.

Asia on the other hand for a final payday if it's on offer would make sense.

I`m amazed really.Before this season I never really rated DM.
Scoring 17 goals is a great acheivement & congratulations to him.
It`s a career best so he`s doing something right.
I just wish that he could score the simple ones ,cos he could have hit 30!

Before this season my nickname for him was Danny McUseless but that was very quickly put out to pasture this year. Just hope this form isn't a one-season wonder. Imagine what we would have if Matty Simon returns!
