ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Because he was almost bigger then the manager at the hieght of his power now any one who has that much repect and power  is a hero to me.
+ read his book and see how much shit he had to put up with as a kid true rags to riches tale.

Why is a perennial perpetrator of violence your hero? I haven't read the book or seen the film. I very much want to hear your opinion Blair. I'm not taking the piss. I'm interested. If anyone else has the same or similar hero I would also like to hear from you. Please write as little or as much as you would like in response.

very much the same reason people worship a murderous despot like che - ignorance, ignorance and ignorance

plenty of other people who went from rags to riches while facing adversity yet did not do it through violence, intimidation and thuggery

Well Cass comes from a poor family from jamaca and was bullied from a young age cos he is Black right so he turned to football as a relief and the inner city firm now he went to jail for this for 4 years and when he got out he wrote bout it in a book, many books an now theres a film out called Cass and for some one to come from Dirt poor to a firm leader then to turn around into a legible person and wrote bout his experiences and to come clean that why i admire him.

I think to fully understand some thing you must look at all parts of it in football its the game to the players to the Firms. I am just learning about wat its like and to see how some one can come out of it like Cass has done i think its a inspiation.

( sorry bout Typo's)

To be extreme, Hitler wrote a book in gaol. Writing a book whilst in gaol redeems a man in your eyes?

Keens, I lament the lack of positive Australian cultural heroes.

Kelly is culturally venerated. Weary Dunlop is known by less and less Australians.

don bradman is venerated and he was a total prick

But it is easy to see why people would venerate Bradman. He was an amazing sportsman.

Blair, do you not find Pennant's violent past abhorrent? His entertaining book doesn't absolve him from his direct crimes and inciting others to commit crime in my opinion.
