Borussia Moenchengladbach director of sport Max Eberl has confirmed they will sign Matthew Leckie from Australian club Adelaide United.

The 20-year-old right midfielder, who is also an Australia international, has scored five goals in 15 appearances in the A-League this season.

He will pen a new deal with the German side once he returns from international duty.

Eberl told the club's official website: "He had a medical on Monday and now he is with Australia. Once everything is in order he will sign a deal with us."
