ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. The Australia Act (Cth, 1986) abolished the right to appeal to the Privy Council of the House of Lords and the reciprocal legislation abolished the right of the Parliament of the United Kingdom to make laws for Australia. There's nothing that prevents the Crown instructing its representative.
Why taking the 'Crown' off the top is a big step in people's minds baffles me. Why it's not seen to be a problem similarly baffles me. I don't see what's OK with even a theoretical possibility for interference by a Monarch, and I don't see what's OK with continuing to subscribe to a monarchy full stop.
