As Mick said that was max's best game. Getting better every week.
Nizz is a class above this league.
Miller is mad if he wants to play centre back. He still has so much improvement in him as a fullback and he is now won of the best in the league. Centre backs are common good fullbacks are a scarce commodity.
Cummings is looking better and better every week.

As for Beni. I told you so.

CB is a spot that can see you stuck on the bench waiting for your shot in a good / well funded team. Way more likely to get 20-30 mins here or there even if 2nd choice at LB/RB. There’s very few young CBs playing in the league by choice as opposed to necessity and we’ve got two of them.

To be fair there was plenty of dross in his performance tonight as well. FFC called it weeks ago calling him Kwassy 2.0.

Harsh. He was mostly excellent.........as was your solo "Sail away, sail away" chant to the NZ keeper at half time. Gold Michael Gold!

So glad I went tonight after dodging Covid by the skin of my teeth so far this week.

The atmosphere was bloody good and Bay 16 is a great place to watch the Football again. An absolutely wonderful night at CCS. PP would be absolutely proud of some of these young blokes and Jimmy's drumming is the business.

Superb support by the fans tonight.

BUT what a performance by the boys tonight.......full of confidence and intent from the 1st minute.

I'm gonna kip now but will post more thoughts tomoz.

I watched the pre match warm up shooting closely tonight.
In order of quality:
Cummings, a couple of lengths ahead of,
Benni, a short half head back to,
A photo between Marcos, Kuol and Nizz.

Nizz has the ability.

Maybe Smith but who do you bring in? Probably Hatch is most deserved at the moment but he is also so valuable off the bench.

Muller was gassed after ten minutes and looked liked he couldn’t run tonight with his back hampering him. Goddard is still injured. Moresche was generally good tonight so could also be an option.

Moresche could be good if he manages to think a bit more rather than going at everything like a bull at a gate.
He is trying too hard.

I think that was after the official warm up shooting, when they could take their time.
Nizzy and Kuol only shot a few at the end of the official warm up, but were both impressive.
Whatever, It is the best shooting warm ups I have seen for a long time.

This is probably why Monty played Kuol on the wing and Muller up front.

Koul has the look of a striker of real class.... he looks so so so so so balanced he runs like Harry ... he slides more than runs.... combine balance and speed if the boy got a shot and stays clam he could come on in a big game and score ... just lovely to watch.... he could be anything...

He has that one same ability that Beni also has and others do not.

Have we ever won 5nil before? I was really confident before the game but didn't expect that score and was thinking 2-1.

i think the last time we won 5nil was against the fire chickens when we won the toilet seat

Watching the bay from our media box in the second half, I was very proud. Gave me flashbacks to years gone by of midweek ACL games where we were not huge in numbers but we were f**kin loud and everyone in the bay knew what they were there for.
Huge, huge props to everyone involved, particularly Jimmy - it’s hard to put into words how much difference it makes having a great drummer in there who can really set the tempo, as well as lending his experience and guidance to some of the kids.
I had a big case of FOMO tonight not being in there that’s for sure, but seriously well done to everyone involved. The academy kids getting around it in bay 16 also deserve a shout out!
