ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

FFA Cup Final

Fought really hard. I guess we have to remember that the FFA wouldn't want a small club in the AFC CL (re Cummings snubbing + bullshit PK call)

Really can't be critical of the performance. Considering they have a payroll at least 3x bigger than ours it was a top effort. Must be nice bringing a player like Ikonomidis off the bench.

Feels like I'm stating the obvious but we really do miss Stensness. The way we're playing demands a true #6 but for every time Steele/Ballard win the ball they give it away. Just a work in progress.

The fact that we got there in the first place is enough to tell you how far the club has come. Team should be proud.

indeed stens would have crushed rojas the first time he touched it .
indeed i would seriously consider playing tounyik at 6 . so oli doesn't have to play enforcer as he did tonight.

A great performance, when you look at our team how many players have played a final with a large hostile crowd. Every player performed admirably, I’m very proud we made it to the final. This team will benefit from this and the fitness is getting better which is great.

Under immense pressure from MV, the crowd, the refs, and FFA, it was always going to be hard.

Outstanding effort by Monty, Olly, and the team.

Sadly a few players were very quiet tonight - Nizzy and Urena in particular. Can't really blame Urena, as service to him was poor.

Defensive unit was outstanding.

Very proud of the Club.

PS. I thought their keeper was very dodgy even though he hardly had anything to do. A pity we didn't put him uder more pressure

Not sure how I feel about Urena not really looking that tired or flustered after the game there.

If you’ve worked your absolute heart out for 90mins at his age you should look like you don’t belong on a magazine cover.

Mate, that was a game, and we got beat by 2 f**king world beaters. Can't chimpanzees about that. We deserved something from that. We played our hearts out.

Every single time beni has touched the ball he’s absolute f**king murdered us
That air swing is inexcusable

Par for the course on just about every game I have watched where he has been fielded.

Watch the replay.

I’m not a Beni loyalist or anything.
All I know is he stole a lot of ball back off the opposition and was a workhorse hassling them into mistakes.

He fumbled a few but you can’t say he’s shit when he did 90% good vs 10% bad. movement off ball, hard work, tackles, good positioning and leading Farrell to come into the attack was good.
Was I watching a game in a parallel universe?

Nizzy was cut out totally, marked to the hilt! They know a good play maker and a threat like him!
