ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I mean it doesn't really matter, they were going to win it anyway. If anything I feel sorry for City fans because even they know that was a shit way to win.

If that was us, we limped over the line, had a dodgy goal to win and then the opponent got an over ruled penalty that I knew deep down was legit... I wouldn't really feel like celebrating.

So yeh, well done City for winning the plate, but we all know you had a team that deserved to win it in better fashion than that.

TBH City have been the best football side this year but this decision takes some gloss off their winning the plate tonight. We are so toothless in attack so not a real threat to the top teams when chips are down. Also Nisbet ineffective against sides like City as is Simon.

Nice acceptance speech from Kisnorbo-have always liked him as a player and coach.

City’s silverware is tainted, but I doubt their fans care. Such a disingenuous “win” will benefit the teams with the most money. It might even start a conversation about altering the salary cap. Hey, that’s sport. I am still mighty proud that our regional club continues to shake-up the A-League, thus giving the middle finger to the big boys. We won’t back down & this season is far from over!

Ok, being unemotional I think the correct result was 0-0.
Definitely a foul on Miller. No blame on him bending over. After watching all the replays at the end of the game I could tell he was setting himself towhead it out of play.
The second VAR they got correct ruling a foul, I do not know why the ref had to come to the sideline to see it. A foul could have been given for the challenge in the back or the subsequent handball.
The penalty was always going to be overturned. I called it soft at the time and on first viewing I told Mrs AM that it would be overturned.

Having said all that I would have much preferred to see a 2-1 loss without any VAR. VAR interfered with, and almost destroyed one of the best games of the season. It is truly destroying the game.

The team has rediscovered the form, composure and drive that they showed early in the season. Especially important after the previous clash with City. We can match it with the form team of the comp now and should take that confidence that has been lacking. Continue this way and we will play City in the 1st playoff and again in the grand final.

Bring it on.

Don't know how anyone can say no pen against Birra.

Both of the defender's hands are grabbing his elbow and dragging him down. It could not be clearer.
