Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mauk is a proven, repeat diver. Diving is cheating. I don't like cheating or diving. So I don't like Mauk.

Bottom line, he conned the referee with his cheating, and got away with it because the referees are utterly incompetent and or unprincipled cheats. Don't blame AU. But last night Mauk was at the heart of bringing the game into disrepute. There's a reason why diving is a serious yellow card offence, and is so looked down on, and why a player can be referred to the match review panel. It destroys games, shows disrespect to your fellow professionals and makes a mockery of our code.

Mauk doesn't get a pass just because the referees on the night couldn't see through his cheating. He shares the blame. If he plays fair, none of this embarrassing blight on Australian football happens.
Agree.

What happens next is important in the context on how big that blight is.

Mauk needs to be referred to the Match Review Committee.

There has been a precedent set already (Perez getting 2 weeks in 2010)

He needs a minimum of at least that.

If not, the blight on the game justifiably gets bigger.

Totally agree and he is deserving of the social media backlash he is receiving. The Refs caused this so why don’t you thank them Mauk for giving you a terrible reputation. Soo many bad feelings out if this game and all because of two corrupt Refs. We didn’t deserve it, AU don’t deserve it nor does Mauk and all they say is sorry we got it wrong. Not good enough.
Perez copped a 2 match ban for simulation even though hands were involved, Mauk basically admitted it on telly, where's the ban?

You can't refer something to the mrp that has been reviewed by var even if it's obviously wrong.

Kinda glad I haven’t been able to logon for a couple days. I’m so f**king furious about the reffing last night and flaccid response from Strebre.
There will probably be no satisfactory result but I’d like to hope the club has sent the fury of its fans, the neutrals, the fox commentators and even reds fans in a sharply worded email to the league and refs boss. This deserves a large please explain and I think even investigation into if Ams is a gambler and to a lesser degree fielding.

Now that there is admission the decisions were wrong, they press that they deliver will be positive ‘moving forwards’ blah blah blah.

They won’t want to keep revisiting the mistakes so I doubt the diving will be reviewed from this match as it’s now ‘in the past’.

However you watch a harder stance on diving from referees from matched now on as they will try to correct the action rather than making an example from the get go.

Similar to not taking action on the refers the A-League has always been soft and forgiving or maybe even lazy as too much effort to deal with finding or organising/reorganising.

This laziness or incompetence has also been lately with the handover / covid draw making and the whole running of this year.

i'd like to hear from shaun .if the club is going to make a formal complaint. to have ams and fielding stood down for the rest of the year . if not why ?
Central Coast Mariners have fired off a ‘please explain?’ communique to A-League referees adviser Strebre Delovski over the contentious officiating which saw three puzzling penalties awarded against them in Friday night’s controversial 3-2 loss to Adelaide United.

Poor judgement, accurate statement
Yep, he is a leader so shouldn’t have put himself in this position. No matter what happens confronting an official will always get you in trouble. We didn’t really need a forced change in the backline against Perth. Luckily both games were good results for the ladder standings. Football gods helping us against the corruption.
