ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Sainsbury was a talent (hopefully will be again) and debuted at 18. Dan Hall is only a few months younger than Stenness and is operating two tiers under him. Didn't Stenness look good as an Academy player? The point is they are both 21 and need to be making their mark at the HAL level.

TBH honest I do not recall Dan Hall - Michael Glassock was probably the standout CB I remember at that level. I didn't really watch the Academy in Trent's day.

Just about anyone who isnt him. There is a young kid in Monty's side who plays CB or DM and is light years ahead of him (help me out someone) Wears #4 usually. Dreadlocks last time i saw him. Wonderful touch, quick too and brings the ball out like Sains.

I have only seen Hall training once and he immediately stood out but he was a CB.

Well we could see what our NPL coach (Monty) can do with the remaining players - he will be able to use all of Pearce, Rowles, Miller, Stensness, Nisbet, De Silva, Kuol, Silvera, Ruiz-Diaz for rounds through 4 - 11 (short season) of NPL2. I think you can use 3 overage players as well so that brings in Clisby, Tongyik & Murray.
If Glassock stays around as an NPL2 player before signing with us for next season the NPL2 team could look like

Hart
Miller Glassock, Hall, Rowles
Stensness Nisbet
Silvera Ruiz-Diaz Hatch
Kuol

A shortened NPL2 is underway now (11 rounds) . From 4th August our A-/League season will be over. Our players haven't played until recently for months.

Would playing another 8 rounds and finals hurt them. Probably not.
Would it help their development - probably.
Would playing together as a cohesive unit help - probably,
Would it help us qualify for NPL1 - probably.
Would Monty want to upset his current NPL2 - unknown.
Would Monty want to blend in some of the younger senior squad who have not played much - unknown

NB. Not sure of the rules of the NPL - just the age criteria

I wouldn’t hate seeing Nizz play a few NPL games, purely because I love watching him play.
Unfortunately though, it won’t help the push for NPL1, as there’s no pro/rel for this shortened campaign.

Hasn’t locked down a deal elsewhere but is no longer training with CCM. I believe he still has another year to run on his deal in HK.
He was released in April - most foreigners in the HK league were. Apparently we can't sign him because there won't be an international clearance until our window opens ( I think). Hopefully just taking a break and staying fit.
