When? Don’t remember
Also as stated earlier A League strikers miss often

Fed beautifully by DDS who ignored an overlapping Appi. Blake called for it but didn't react at all. (For once behind the goals gave us a great view)

We are all die hard fans on this forum, but Bramas tackle was possibly the worst ive ever seen a mariners player commit. I cant condone it in the slightest, should have been 6 weeks

I agree - but it comes down to the charge. It was serious foul play (while playing for the ball). If it had been violent conduct (while not playing for the ball), a charge that could have described the tackle but would open a defence that he was arguably playing for the ball, then I suspect it would have been 6 weeks..

It was an awful tackle. Wout doesn't seem like a malicious type though and I thought he was tired and it was a badly timed mistake. Still deserved punishment as such a lazy, dangerous tackle could have ended a career.
I'm amazed mainly that it wasn't worst case scenario in terms of weeks. CCM is usually bent over a barrel on these things to set an example which is then not maintained for any other club

Probably the wrong thing for us to actually get some luck from

As PJ said had nothing to do with luck it’s all about the grading, given the injury ended up being a bruised shin and not a broken leg the two weeks is standard.

Dominic Bossi in the SMH doesn't like us does he.
I can't remember him writing any articles about FC's lack of cards this season.

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/central-coast-mariners-wout-brama-given-just-two-weeks-for-sickening-tackle-20180129-h0q6tj.html

Central Coast Mariners midfielder Wout Brama will be suspended for two A-League games after being sent-off for committing one of the ugliest tackles in the competition's history.

The widespread condemnation of Brama was influenced by the unenviable injury record of Gameiro.

Obviously he's forgotten Muscats wild lunge which pretty much ruined that young kids career, or perhaps that why he had to say "one of".

I don't particularly see what Gameiro's injury record has to do with it. Once he's back playing, he's a player.
As far as I know there's isn't a list circulating the A league clubs saying go easy on this bloke lads, he's had a few injuries.
Would Brama even be aware of Gameiro's injury record?
I remember the Fox commentators having a go at Monty over a challenge on someone who had come back from injury.

I'm not defending Brama in anyway. Appalling challenge, which should have been four weeks at least.
Not only that but he's let the team down badly.

Pretty easy article to write, however if it happened to us we’d be up in arms with a two week ban

The tackle was absolute shite and Brama deserves everything he got - and perhaps more... But I can't help but get really annoyed at the "saintification" of the players that are subject to these things, recently returned, or not..
10 minutes-or-so, before the tackle, McGing got a throw-in that Gameiro thought (perhaps rightfully) should have gone their way... He arked up about it, then as the ball came in and was received by Brama, Gameiro - very business-like - took out Brama with an ankle-hook that was never meant for the ball in any way, it was the wrong foot, straight from behind and not in a particularly fast-moving situation - it was pure frustrated lash-out in a position that he knew none of the officials could see. He's no f**king saint and he plays the game as much as anyone else, so judge Wout's actions on their own merit - or lack of same - don't start on some f**king adventure-building exercise about how saint-like Gameiro is.

EDIT: I clearly no language good

So Appiah and LRose could be on the way out. Appiah to Korea and Rose to Melbourne city.

If true then unfortunate as i do like both players. Both are in positions where we have a fair bit of depth, and also neither have been able to prove they are adaptable enough to play in different positions. Jake has earned his extension i'm sure because he has done well as right back as well as been adept as DM and CB. I'm especially sad to see we didn't develop Liam into something special as i think he has what it takes.

What came first the attitude or the lack of opportunities leading to the attitude. Would be interested to know. Paul took him out of midfield for Olyroos before he got the coaching gig and played him more as a CB last year. This would affect my attitude if i was Rose.

Be interested to see if Liam is still here wether he plays against WSW for Baro. I’d say so. If he’s gone then who fills that? McGing with Storm to RB seems most obvious. Rose Snr could but what about his knee. Rowles maybe but doubt it.

Liam does not impose himself on games. Will never be a great DM without that. Had to happen and wish him well, but I don't hold the club even remotely accountable, he had opportunities to get back into the starting line up or regular contention. He did not take them.

As to Kubi, I'm sure his runs make for a decent highlight reel, but 2 goals in 38 appearances, and how many assists? It's not up to standard.

Expect we'll see Hoole or Skapetis come into RM, with the other subbing in.

We really need a couple of class attacking signings now. It's a bit grim.

Lineup...
Backs same except Roux at LB now Rose is injured. Melling for Wout, Lord Tom doing his thing, Lachie gets another start, (though I'd prefer Hoole left and Skapetis right) DDS, Powell up front. Kekeris might be looking at some game time now unless Kubi's deal hasn't gone through.
