ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

honestly thought that ccm would be in the right but would release him due to the ruined relationship

whilst he's a real talent and, until now, an all time personal mariners hero, I'm not sure he toes the critical 'mariners spirit' philosophy anymore.
quite the splinter
hope he gets av decent overseas offer and goes on to great thing's. but to no competitors please

So - if Phoenix want him could they buy out the rest of his contract. And if they did would that amount also count against their cap? Would that be seen as a transfer fee?

I'm pretty sure that would be counted as a transfer fee, so that idea's a non-starter.

I would amend that to a solid starting CB. I'm not convinced by the combo of Zac and Eddy. With a 'Trent' or 'Patrick' like player beside them I would be happy for either to start, just not convinced with the combination.

It's not a bad combo but it's not a league winning combo. Love to see quality ball playing centre back alongside eddy with Chesty to fill in when needed.

What if Auckland FC. (for instance) bought Weemac for our asking price, then a week later sold him to Wellington for the same amount.

There would be no transfer then between A league clubs,CCM get what they wanted & the Nix get what they want ( minus a few $$$$$)

Problem solved...

I think Charlesworth has played this to a tee; he has his get out of jail free card and has saved face. He has proved the nasty opportunist Kiwis are legally and morally wrong to take McGlinchey. He can pretend he didn't want to get rid of McGlinchey (even though he was counting the silver before he got it) and now is negotiating with Wellington because he doesn't want an unhappy player on the books. He can now look like the good guy by allowing McGlinchey to join Wellington because it is in the player's best interests.

"Our aim is to reach a financial agreement with Wellington and discussions are ongoing."

Just now hold the 4 Aces instead of the Joker card.

McGlinchy will not be seen in a CCM Shirt IMO.

Well done to Charlesworth for fighting when could have easily flipped over. While it was messy he was proved correct in the end. I am glad he fought & won but McGlinchy & the PFA have come out looking stupid.

We should sell him to some shit hole club in the middle of nowwhere for a dollar & make him suffer.
