ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A bit late but a great tour and so glad I made the snap decision to go.

Muscat, picturesque city with its mountainous back drop. Not a busy City as the population is about $1.8m. People very friendly and passive so felt extremely safe and hardly saw any police as all you read is how quick and easy it is to get put in prison. We did some tours and was great, never been to the Middle East and it’s very different from anywhere else I’ve been.

The Game, was hot which was expected with next to no breeze. Typical over zealous security to get into the stadium. Dry venue of course but that was expected and we had a fantastic pre game function singing all the songs lead by Max with his drum. Even the staff at the bar were getting into the chants. I didn’t expect a spectacle of a game and it was an arm wrestle for sure. As it went on we were on top. Problem with stadiums that have the athletic tracks is you are a fair way away from the action and we were all shocked by Kuols nut meg goal until it slowly rolled over the line. Was great celebrating with the players after the ceremony.

Highlights were the tour group, great bunch of people including some parents of the players. Have made some new CCM friends and life long memories.

Low light, the cost of grog was outrageous, $20 for a beer, didn’t stop us depleting their stocks though.

Great question. Our merch team have no idea. Always very little to buy and no cheap alternatives like my Best and Less shirt from season 1. We have 2.3 million reasons not to be so useless at it now.

"the best", let's not get ahead of ourselves, most of those teams were shite. The travel was killer. Al Ahed were decent, the other Asian teams were all pretty shit, most of the challenge was dealing with shithouse pitches, awful weather conditions and ridiculous travel arrangements.

We won. No need to dump on them.

A bit of greasing the wheels will be needed now the AFC are rolling back their governance structures. They will roll us back to Oceania given half the chance.

Don't get me wrong, it was a monumental effort and I'm super proud of the team. Herculean achievement under the circumstances. I just don't think the opposition were overall "the best". I think the comp as a whole was a huge challenge and it's an incredible achievement. Anyone you can pump 9-0 are not "the best". Like I said Al Ahed were the real deal and winning the final against that level of opposition with that coach under those travel circumstances was a real and lasting achievement.
