    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. Barcellos came straight from the new Portimonense partnership, Doka and Torres were found through Monty and Serg scouting. Torres may have been suggested to us by Anton as he was picking up pennys in Malta with Balzan last season.


This is going to be the interesting part going forward with Visa players, did Simmo keep hold of Monty’s contacts? Will we see more UK/Leeds connected players through Jacko’s network? I think it’s an absolute certainty we’ll see a couple players arrive from Portimonense.

Tulio’s had a super slow start in Japan, completely dropped for Kyoto’s game today… cheeky loan back for ACL? (I know I’m getting carried away)

Reminds me of when I worked for an airline and we were conducting a test deployment of an emergency slide that the cabin crew training department wanted to film and also then let some trainees go down for the experience.

The look on their faces when it went off were an absolute picture and after all the noise and dust, one of them stepped forward to show he wasn’t afraid to go down the slide (it was from the upper deck of a 747, so it was a bloody long way down tbh), at which point I couldn’t resist saying:

“Hold on mate, we need to make sure it’s safe to use first, as there’s nothing worse than a premature evacuation” at which point just about everyone fell into fits of laughter.

Just one of those perfect comedy moments that you never forget.
