ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think CCM needs to have a merchandising item similar to the floppy cricket hats, in CCM colours of course. I'd buy one if the price was sub $30 or so.
View attachment 272

. we've been telling them that for years ... hubby has over a dozen Mariners hats but most games wears something else to protect him from the sun

... oh and my requests for a Mariners bikini have always fallen on deaf ears

Why so many 5:00 games at CCS .... because we don't rate for Fox as well... Fox drive many of these decisions.

The AFL are holding talks about equalisation for teams who get many poor time slots... this must affect our crowds the latter starting games will normally add 2K to a match .
Thats a lot of coin a club like ours could use and also makes us look like we can't get decent crowds.

. exactly right middy ... and to make things worse i believe one of our KPIs for receiving our full TV grant is crowd numbers - another TV audience

. somebody needs to sit the FFA down and explain the concept of 'cause and effect'

. they strangle our ability to draw crowds and then penalise us when we don't

Compromises always have to be made. All in all I think it is a pretty decent draw, much better balanced than last year. NYE back where it belongs and a Boxing Day trip to Sydney plus all those home NSW derbies; I am pretty happy.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
A way much better draw than last years...if the boys perform , that amount of games at BT are gonna be just what the place needs to get it jumping like the old days

“We are very excited to have secured 13 home games in Gosford for our members, we have been able to positively work with Melbourne Victory to help grow the game regionally in Geelong and the reality is without this match we would not have been able to achieve ALL 13 home games.

Really, How so?
Is he saying that if the Mariners decided to decline Victory's offer of cash and helping them out of a '$ticky contractual jam' with the Victorian Government, the FFA would have taken Home games away from the Mariners thus reducing the 13 ?????

I think further explanation is warranted considering your new 'Era of Transparency'

I think they're more saying that the cash injection means they don't need to do the NSO bullshit again. I can't imagine NSO generated much cash last year though, considering how poorly attended it was and how many free tickets were thrown around.

And it may be we wouldn't have got our NYE match back. I'm sure whoever we play would much rather have the game at their place than ours.

So ... 4 Early Saturday... 5:00 PM is different to .. 5 Late Sunday... 5:00 PM ?

;)

I can see how difficult this is for you so I will explain... on Saturday the late game starts at 7:30 and on Sunday the early game starts at 3:00 with most late games starting at 5:00...

Just so you don't get to confused... the early and late games have different starting times on Saturday and Sunday ... I think the FFA don't want to have the late game on Sunday starting at 7:30...

Of the lower drawing games against Nix, City, Adel and Perth our game against Perth is the opening round which might increase it and one of the NIX games is NYE

However these games will need some decent marketing or the crowds will be dire.

Sunday, 8 November 2015 NIX 5:00
Thursday, 3 December 2015 City 8:00
Sunday, 14 February 2016 ADL 3:00

Start winning and playing attractive football and we will get out of the graveyard shifts.
No Friday night is probably a good thing.

I like it but they haven't fixed the whole nsw derbies being lopsided.

$100,000 from the article is a figure I'm happy to get for the sale of the regional round. We never got any details about what NSO was suppose to bring in and what it actually made.

Sounds like the hundered thousand will cover the costs of the graveyard shifts.

Like the clubs early feelings about the wsw Aussie long weekend game being a sellout. This has great potential to attract holiday makers from western Sydney to the area.

Want to see the club go really hard in the media to make sure nye and Aussie long weekend are both sold out. Anything under 16k for these games will be an epic fail. Imo

It's really up to tw and the boys to play their part now.

I'm thinking of going up to the R18 Brisbane game at Suncorp on Sat Feb 6.

Anyone thinking about interstate/international away game trips yet?
