Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce a new premium partnership with leading solar products supplier, Westinghouse Solar, which will see the widely respected company’s logo positioned on the back of the Club’s playing shirts for the next two Hyundai A-League campaigns.

For more than a century the Westinghouse name has stood for reliability and innovation, and with the company currently forging ahead as Australia’s most trusted name in solar, Westinghouse Solar Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Gerry McGowan, said now is a good time to partner with a Club and competition on the move.

“We see football as a growing force in Australian sport,” McGowan said. “The passion of the fans and the growing popularity of the sport at the grassroots level lets Westinghouse Solar engage with our primary target market.”

“The best team in Solar has just joined the best team in the Hyundai A-League,” he said.

The Westinghouse story began in 1886 when George Westinghouse introduced the first alternating current electrical system – a system that soon became the principle power standard for homes and businesses around the world.

Today, the company develops and implements safe and efficient electrical energy solutions that bring comfort and convenience to the lives of millions.

Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, said the Club is proud to have formed an alliance with an organisation that strives to improve the lives of its customers via high-quality solar power systems.

“Westinghouse Solar is a trusted solar installer with thousands of satisfied customers in Australia,” Mr Turnbull explained. “We hope to be able to help them to build their customer base on the Central Coast and nationally throughout the duration of the partnership, and if we can do that that will mean lower energy bills via clean and renewable power for more households.”

Central Coast Mariners Commercial Manager, Mr Grant Cremer, said: “The Mariners are arguably the most successful and consistently reliable team in the Hyundai A-League, and we believe that this resonates with the quality, performance and reliability of Westinghouse Solar’s products.”

In addition to their presence on the Club’s back of shirt, the Mariners and Westinghouse Solar will work together on a number of activations to encourage homeowners to make the switch to solar power.

Good stuff. Anyone know of what sort of ball park we're talking how much money the mariners might be making out of it.

Nice to see the Mariners sponsored by a Green Energy company and not Big Coal. Would love to support them, but I already have 20 panels installed. Certainly is nice getting a cheque from the power company each quarter rather than having to fork out!
