ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I remember back in the 70's Wamberal almost got washed away and there were these old 40's & 50's style houses on the beach... always thought WTF would you build there ..

I know this isn`t football related but there`s not much else to do.
The foreshore needs to be restored, and if the council is to have any imput dollarwise the whole community needs to benefit from it.
Therefore, funding has to be secured Federally, from the State, from the Council and from the residents.
I would suggest that any design put forward include a concrete foreshore walkway linking the Haven to Wamberal lagoon.
This would have the benefit of 1) A decent walkway buffering the private land
2) Opening up that tract of land to the public
3) Reducing the parking congestion in Terrigal as it links Terrigal to Wamberal Lagoon
carpark and Wamberal Surf-club carpark for nigh-time use.
4) Reducing the number of private access points to the beach ie. concrete steps to the beach every 50m or so.

Further to this, a boardwalk could also be built from the walkway around the headland to the Terrigal bridge.
This section could also include for cafe`s,eateries and small bars, with an extension of a narrower walkway around to the scout hall ,which would link even more parking.
