ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Wall of noise

Hi all

I am reasonably new to the forum but loving soaking up all the news and comments in the leadup to Sundays game.

I am not a Marinator member yet - but intend for next season, so tell me if I am out of line with this thread as it is something that crossed my mind this morning.

we all agree that we will create a "wall of noise" from the Nth end of SFS on Sunday that will help to carry our boys home.
I was watching the Champions League game this morning and again experienced how powerful the "Never Walk alone" anthem is when sung by the Liverpool supporters when the teams came out onto the pitch.
Whilst I am not suggesting we copy this anthem - it would be gr8 if there was a song that all Mariners supporters as well as the Marinators knew that we could sing aloud as the teams come onto the field.

As we are the 2007-8 Premiers what about "We are the Champions".  It is a song that everyone knows the words and would really fire up the boys.

You guys may have something already planned and that is great.  It was just a thought.

Hi Krispy. Thanks for the post, not out of line at all.

There are a number of threads on this already but basically:

It's harder than deciding on something in a forum thread to get an anthem going.
These things need to develop over time, and naturally.
I would suggest that this Grand Final would be a good time to start a tradition! Start singing something with your mates and if it is meant to be, it will catch on. If it isn't, we will keep waiting until that perfect song hits us!

Thanks Brett

We will try that - just did not want to get in the way of anything the Marinators had planned.

Is is just me or does this seem to be the longest week ever - bring on Sunday

I quite liked the song that was started at EAS in the regular season regarding a certain Jets foward called Joel! :piralaugh:

Krispy, for your info. Marinators Membership is from Feb to Feb (to coincide with the Leagues club membership renewals) and is done in the leagues club. So membership NOW would include you in all the 'off season' activities (winery tour, golf day, etc etc) as well as the pre season and majority of next season. ;)

Thanks for that Jeff.  I am a CCLC member already and have renewed for this yr- so do I see them or do I need to drop in to Kendall Bar when you guys are there?
you guys are doing a gr8 job both through the site and at games and have done so since day 1, and I would like to support the cause by signing up.  Will be tempted to join the group at one of the offshore ACL games in 2009.
